I don't remember what it was about, I just remember hearing it mentioned in an interview with Alex during one of those years.

He should be looking at the road not his feet, so I don't get why he would do that

Nah, I'm sure he only said that as a joke. He probably wore those boots as a good luck charm...
i don't think you'd be able to look at your feet while in a F1 cockpit even if you tried.

Rubens is the only right foot braker in the field, DC was but changed a few years ago now

would you think it is a handicap in itself?
i was thinking that since most F1'ers come from karting they just stick to what they are used to... :?:

I had seen the video before, but not read the article, so thanks for posting it. I don't, however, really see why they both suggest that Schumacher has nothing but records. As bud said, Button has a similar style to Schumacher, and other drivers aren't too far off it as well. For me, your driving style, whilst interesting, doesn't make you a great. I've a lot of respect and admiration for Schumacher, but I've still got the same reservations about Schumacher's claim to being the greatest Formula One driver as I always had.

Show me where he (MS) claims to be the greatest F1 driver.

Do you remember that thread about problems with the English language? This is another one. I don't mean that Schumacher personally claimed to be the sport's greatest. What I mean is his place in history, if you get what I mean.

Well, how about this then?
You have still the same reservations about claims that Schumacher was the greatest F1 driver.

Keeps your nose clean re. who is making those claims

Basically imho the claim's that MS is the greatest has more to do with his record's than his natural talent. In natural talent I would most likely put Ayrton and Jilles ahead of Michael and I think f1ea said it best,
About Schu... I think his dominance was down to a perfectly balanced mix of:
1. Natural talent
2. Extraordinary commitment
3. Team support

There is still no denying the man's accomplishment's regardless of the spite felt by other team's supporter's, right? Could of, would of or should of is a mute arguement because fact's are fact's right?

He was still a very talented driver and he proved that in cars that weren't the best. I won't deny that he had some moments that were just disgusting, but he was a bloody good racing driver.

Now I would not say that's true but if that's what you believe then so be it.

Stats are only a measure of ability. However sometime you run into the intangibles of pure art form. Every sport has someone that transcends like Micheal Jordan or Wayne Gretzsky. Its like they become one with the medium i.e. the Car, the Puck the Basketball. Schumacher is not my favorite driver, but he does fit in the category with the greats.
