A football club here in UK has allowed fans to invest in the club, and even choose the players. I hate football so don't follow it, but I think that this club has done well this season.
If you had some spare cash would you want to invest in an F1 team on the same basis? Obviously F1 is more expensive than football but, with a world wide audience, it might be possible for a new team to get fan sponsorship at a reasonable level, provided they had commercial sponsorship also.
One side benefit of this is, that as a shareholder, you would probably have some (small ) influence with FIA !!.
So, supposing someone like Paul Stoddart, or Eddie Irvine, or Eddie Jordon or some such person came up with a proposal of say minimum £2,500 but unlimited maximum investment, had a good commercial sponsor deal lined up, had good design / production team and engine supplier lined up would you invest?
What would you want the team to be called?
