Qualifying was interesting...surprised by Ricciardo and Sainz...the former is having a shocker and I feel for him, way better than his performance this year. :(

How much drama can you get in one race? now we wait to hear from Pirelli about what caused the blowouts for Verstappen and Stroll, especially after going one level softer across the board of the tires. As a neutral, it was a head in hands moment when Max had the blowout and went into the wall, given that the upcoming races are likely to favor Mercedes. Then for Lewis to hit the 'magic' switch, effectively turning off the brakes and go down the escape road to finish out of the points, crazy drama in the final 5 laps. But big props to Sergio for soaking up all the pressure from Lewis throughout the race; and even bigger props to Sebastian, second place is an amazing feat, albeit fortuitous given what happened to Verstappen and Hamilton.

How did Lewis accidentally engage 'brake magic' when it requires selecting 'strat 3', then selecting 'brake magic', then selecting 'confirm' to engage? A three step process.

Pirelli report is in. Inner sidewall failure caused by running conditions and not related to any manufacturing defect.

So the Pirelli tires that exploded were perfect, how did I know that Pirelli would say that!

Caused by running conditions, what does that mean?

Was it a puncture or just that the tire could not withstand the forces on the straight while running on old tires?
