However, getting back on topic....apparently the director of Eurovision isn't best pleased with us Brits because Wogan doesn't take the competition seriously enough Clicky

Without Wogan, I doubt anyone in the UK would watch the competition. I love his commentary...he has referred to hosts as "Doctor Death and the Tooth Fairy" before, and is always coming out with things like "When you pick a boy band usually, you pick them for their good looks. But the Russians appear to have gone to the other extreme."

Never watched Eurovision... and I'm afraid I never will. But at least now I know who Terry Wogan from the Franz Ferdinand song is. You see, you can learn something useful where you least expect it

I caught 5 minutes of that the other day. It reminds me why I don't really watch TV any more (except for Eurovision, obviously )
