Vettel goes off, Verstappen and Bottas both into the wall. Aggressive curbs break 10 front wings.

Hamilton may be able to clinch the title at the Italian GP. Now that's excitement.

Hamilton gets the finger from Raikkonen and a 3 place grid drop for impeding Kimi in Q2. So he will start along side Kimi in P5. Magnussen drops to 10th due to a gearbox penalty. Kimi finger video: https://streamable.com/5wu3s.

Great race. Perhaps next year they could offer a magnesium skid plate as an option to a front wing? The resulting spark shower show would be magnificent.

So the Stewards decide that Verstappen can keep his win. It only took them 3 hrs to make the call, almost twice as long as it took to run the race!

I am wondering now that with this decision not to penalize Verstappen for a clear rules violation does that mean that Vettel will now get his Canadian win back where he was penalized for an unclear rule violation?

Yup... they did it again...

Stewards were called upon to look at a pass, again involving a Ferrari driver...

Difference here is that, because a Ferrari driver stood to gain,
the call went the other way...

Honestly, the reporters, starting with Brundle are laughable... they are so
very transparent, there is no point them even opening up their collective
mouth... last time, it was the right call to make and to gift Hamilton the
win... this time, it's the right call to make because it's "driving" and they
may as well go home if they aren't allowed to take risks...

make up your stupid little minds, already... you can't have it both ways...

p.s. rant over....

Penalties are not good for the racing they said. What are the drivers supposed to do? The stewards need to let the drivers be.

I wonder what they would say if Hamilton was involved!

It is good they made the right decision this time, why it took more than 5 mins is beyond me.

Regardless of previous stewards decisions, this one was the right decision, I don't have allegiance to any team, I want to see racing, I don't care who wins. Vettel was screwed in my view, I would have liked to have seen Hamilton have to make the pass on Vettel, although it was a different situation to that of Verstappen today.

Ultimately, this is what F1 needed, if Verstappen was penalized after that terrible start and recovery to win, it could have been the end of F1 after two previous races of terrible decisions.

I'm just happy to have a race without the stewards ruining the race, more racing, less bureaucracy is what the sport needs.
