Took the average of 2 (for the non-action and dull safety car processions) and 8 (for the last bit of the race with MV making chop suey of half the field of drivers), hence a solid 5.

I will just go with a 2. Not even Verstappen's heroics could save that race.

Very varied opinions! 6 votes and all of them are different. My vote is a 3, one for the race actually going the distance and two for Verstappen overtaking 11 cars in 14 laps, that is the only thing of note that was good about this race.

It is painfully obvious that F1 rain tires are best suited to just follow the safety car. The whole show yesterday was pathetic with red flag after red flag in such a light rain because they have the drivers out there on unsafe tires. They were comparing the cold tires to blocks of wood. No wonder the cars were flying off on the restarts, it is hard to control an F1 car with plywood strapped on the four corners.

Except for MV it seems...

Max got the tires warmed up! but even he nearly had it in the wall.

As Steve Matchett/David Hobbs said during the race: the heat in the tires goes away within a third of a lap under those conditions...

Aquaplaning is the big problem with these tires and Verstappen also added that lack of downforce is a contributing factor. Next year it could be better he hopes.
