Yes Hamilton is all about safety suddenly!
He wasn't so concerned in the past when spinning donuts in the middle of the track forcing a Force India off or speeding up to actually pass a safety car or pushing his teammate off track. He even hit and knocked over a photographer yesterday in the pitlane in P2.

What I see happening with this new Hamilton rule is a great reluctance now to have double waved yellows used as it is a defacto red flag so when there is a legitimate double waved yellow situation and only yellows are being waved there could be a nasty incident resulting in injury.
