In 2015, the soft tyre was selected for 15 races. The medium tyre was picked for 13 races, while the super soft got six outings and the hard just four.

In the four races that did not feature the soft tyre, Sebastian Vettel managed to win in Malaysia, but struggled against Mercedes in Spain, Britain and Japan...

...Avoiding the medium

For the first four races of 2016, Pirelli has announced that teams can pick from the super soft, soft, medium.

And, as the rules states, Pirelli has made it compulsory that drivers have available for each of the races one set of medium and one set of soft tyres.

However, the rules do not force them to use both – which means Ferrari can steer clear of the medium and instead concentrate on its preferred soft tyre if it so wishes...

Tighter Rear

One of the main problems of 2015 Ferrari F1 were the sidepods (and the rear): too large compared the other top teams.

Ferrari 667 will set, tighter engine cover and tighter sidepods, new gearbox, pull-road rear suspension. May be a different inclination for the radiators

A new engine block

MGU-K removed from the back to the lower-left side of the engine block.

The intercooler should be removed from the “V”, and it will be positioned, presumably, in the chassis.

New crankcase for Ferrari 667 more tighter than last year. These changes should allow engineers to work with more freedom to improve downforce at the rear. The Ferrari 667 will show major changes in gearbox and the engine cover.

According to a report from Autosport.com, the Maranello-based outfit has been anxious throughout the Christmas season. “We’re working very hard, we’re very tense, we’re terrified because we’re afraid of the future, so we’re not relaxed, “ Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene explained.

Meanwhile, it seems Ferrari may soon be working with another Schumacher if current rumors are true. Mick Schumacher, also fondly called Schumacher Jr., is said to be making a play to join Ferrari-linked team Prema. According to a report from Wheels 24, it seems Schumacher Jr. managed to impress Prema team boss Angelo Rosin.

“Mick did a very good job in his tests for us. We are very interested in working with him in the forthcoming season,” he said. However, recent reports also suggested that the 16-year-old may opt to stay in Formula 4 and delay his entry into the European F3 series for another year instead.
