I wonder if Mercedes will take pity on Rosberg and throw him a few crumbs?

They'll want him in 2nd, so they'll be doing what they can to secure that, what they might ask of Lewis to help him out is another matter though.

'Rosberg’s fourth pole position in a row relegated team mate Lewis Hamilton to second place once again.'

Gotcha!! So, Hamilton won't be languishing around in second place,
to hold back anyone, so that Rosberg gets the win and Mercedes max points!

I would think Lewis' intention will be to go for the win, it'll take some fairly specific circumstances for Lewis to be able and willing to take deliberate action to help Nico's chances for 2nd place.

I kinda thought that Mercedes would have liked to sew up all three positions,
they've got both the WDC and the WCC, what better way to further underline
their complete domination of 2015 than to have Rosberg as runner up?

Don't get me wrong, I'm tickled pink that Vettel might finish in second; but,
I truly expected Mercedes to want that particular accolade.

That would be huge kick in the teeth to Nico, to admit to himself that he had help from Lewis just to get 2nd.

Well that was a boring race after all the hype and buildup.

The 'excitement' was paranoid Hamilton not trusting his engineer on strategy and then demanding proof!

First time since 2006 that a Ferrari hasn't been classified in a race. That was a good run now over. In 2006 it was similar as a Williams (of Rosberg) pitched Massa off at the start and then Schumacher going off on his own on lap 32.

Enjoyable race. Williams were saved by the safety car god only knows what their strategist thinks.

It was a dull race really, back to what we have come to expect this season after the excitement of the USGP. Highlights of the race were Bottas returning the favor from a week ago, knocking Raikkonen out of the race, although you have to say it was Raikkonen's fault, turning in on Bottas when there was plenty of room on the outside. Vettel had a nighmare race, colliding with Ricciardo at the start, then spun on his own at T7 and then crashed out at the same corner. Other than that, I don't remember too much about the race.
