The beautiful night race in Singapore! Intense heat, humidity and a grinding course make this a real test of stamina. The smog from the burning Malaysian rain forests will add to the test.

The championships are won but Singapore has interest for the dedicated fan. Will Hamilton be able to win his 41st and to match Senna's record (not quite as quickly as Vettel but still a big achievement)?, Will Rosberg try to challenge and shake his #2 driver status?, Can Merc 'remember' to keep their tire warmers plugged in? Will Red Bull and Mclaren do better? Do the course changes mean overtaking now is possible?

A safety car could create an exciting surprise winner to defeat the Mercedes engine monotony, so lots to watch for.

Ooh, F1 meets silent hill. That's going to be interesting under the floodlights.

Red Bull and Ferrari are looking good ahead of the Mercedes although Merc probably have their super engines turned down. And the McLaren seems to like this track.

This has shown me one thing, Hamilton isn't as good as he believes he is. In any car but the fastest he's only ever slightly better than Rosberg. :hehe: Seriously though, can someone explain why the Merc troop aren't on top?

Merc now have to follow new PSI rules and don't get enough grip with the soft and supersofts, so less traction, more deg = sh!tty quali and probably race as well.

Good result in Singapore for Ferrari with two on the podium! A breath of fresh air from the Merc strangle hold. Vettel really deserved the win as he had mastered the track unlike any other driver and virtually had a perfect week end. His qually lap was amazing and truly Senna like. And moving past (in fewer races) Senna in the all time win column with 42 is a remarkable career achievement. Next is Prost at 51.

The racing though was so tedious just showing how much the formula needs to move away from this current form. The cars are just so slow and the first stint almost 10 secs off the qually pace! Merc will fight this but it must happen. The lack of engine development and testing has really hurt F1.

2013 Pole: SV 1'42.841
2014 Pole: LH 1'45.681
2015 Pole: SV 1'43.885
2013 Fastest Lap: SV 1'48.574
2014 Fastest Lap: LH 1'50.417
2015 Fastest Lap: DR 1'50.041
SV this year didn't need to push hard anymore towards the end or he may have gotten the fastest lap under 1'50.
Bottom line: 1 second slower in quali, 1.5 slower for fastest lap during the race compared to pre-V6. Not that bad anymore especially compared to last year.
