Farce? Interesting take...

.........As if to compensate for the lack of a contest on a sunny day at Albert Park, film actor and former California governor Schwarzenegger was drafted in for the podium ceremony, where he conducted some amusing, if slightly awkward, interviews.

The awkwardness was to continue in the post-race media conference where Hamilton and the equally diplomatic Rosberg were at pains to deny the Formula One season was not just a two-horse race.

"I think the Ferraris have taken a huge step forward and have made one of the biggest steps," Hamilton said generously as Ferrari debutant Vettel, sitting on his left, wore a wry smile.

"I anticipate we might have a good fight with them at some stage this year."

Rosberg, runner-up in the championship last year, was a bit franker when he said Mercedes would "be leading the way for sure" for the first couple of races.

"But it would be good if they can come a bit closer... as long as they don't get too close," the German said.

His comments drew a snort from Vettel, a four-times world champion with Red Bull, who had plenty of experience defending the dominance of his former team.

"Be honest, do you really hope so?" he interjected, raising roars of laughter. "Seriously? You finish 34 seconds ahead of us and you hope it's going to be closer? You hope you'll slow down?" .......

This year is going to be torture for me, Red Bull and Renault are nowhere and no signs of any serious improvements from Renault. :(
Might as well give Hamilton and Mercedes their WDC and WCC trophies already. Bring on 2016

It was a fairly alright race, not a Melbourne "classic" necessarily, but an interesting one nonetheless. Mercedes seem to be entering a second year of dominance, whilst Ferrari seem to be clawing something back. I don't expect immediate wins from the Scuderia, but there's a platform on which to build better results.

McLaren have so so so much work to do. (And Honda). Button feels that the car is good (which is not something we hear all too often from him) so at least there seems to be a degree of potential for this year's model.

Big shout out to the rookies (some tremendous, mature performances) and also Sauber. After last season, this was a badly needed result for them.

I've used this site before; but, just noticed a couple of interesting features on it!
One, is the posting of Radio Messages, of course, they don't have every single
syllable uttered; I was particularly interested in the two exchanges between
Kimi and the pit wall, after his stops. Unfortunately, only the second discussion
is available:

Mercedes duo opened the F1 2015 season with an unsurprising 1-2 on Sunday, as Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel finished a distant third at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne.

A sequence of pre-race incidents meant only 15 cars started the race, and only 11 finished, with Jenson Button last in the McLaren-Honda.

Below added transmit radio communication from the Australian Grand Prix, we can’t understood some radio, especially Spanish-English and Italian-English. Also here avoided few messages due to sound transmission error.............

Kimi Raikkonen's stop suggest that the left rear tyre was not fitted properly. He's parked his car just after Turn 3

Kimi to Ferrari
Something broken

Ferrari to Kimi
Okay stop the car Kimi, stop the car find the safe place to pull off

Kimi to Ferrari
Did you leave the wheel loose?

Ferrari to Kimi
Unfortunitly wheel was not tight, i'm sorry Kimi.............

That's why the FIA chose not to penalize Ferrari, they were monitoring
the situation and pulled Kimi back, when they realized it wasn't safe!
