Since today Merc hit the 1 million Twitter follwers, more than any other team which is fantastic!!!! I thought I'd just put that amazing achievement into perspective.
Lewis is followd by 2.6 million.

That was an interesting link Cookie that you posted on another thread. One picture on facebook of Lewis netted Merc 55k. That's amazing. I guess some of the revenue generated by Lewis is not immediately obvious. That link also said sponsors like the social interaction by fans. Merc are amazing at interacting with their fans, as is Lewis.

Social engagement by consumers with the Merc brand is quantifiable and as you say there is a formula that translates 'likes' into hard cash in marketing terms.

Just a shame the Merc board don't understand marketing if it's true that they calculated that Rosberg is worth ten times in branding than Lewis

This has been a tough investigation, apart from the wishful thinking imagine her in the Merc garage each race (Sutils who??) there is a hint of timing and secrecy that rings true. On the other hand it looks like a lot of careful and expensive Pr going on, then theres the rumours this started at Scochi last year, and ofcourse he ditched his management recently

And there are no incriminating pictures, hand in hand etc, yet all the press are on it, indicating a deal has been made somewhere

All in all this could go either way
