If its not ranked at all, but is just the top 20, (conveniently the link is dead) that makes your jumping in to clap for OB more worrying, because you are cheering for him while making a nonsense of his claims that Danica, alonso and rossi are ranked higher when MARKETED

Its easy to make mistakes and confuse issues when one jumps in head first without understanding the issues or the details. Lewis is very high up on the most MARKETABLE list and also on the most MARKETED list - thanks for your help

Which confirms OB is lying by saying is is one one but not the other, but ofcourse you wont get that

Lol this thread is hilarious.

Its been like this since day one. Theres always a double act of dumb and dumber who dont read the whole thread and begin 'adding balance' to those annoying enthusiastic Lewis supporters.

its like dumb question of the month from a procession of Lewis 'boycotters' who all think they are the first to say he is hard on his tyres, his gf is a w***r, everyone hates him, its down to the car, its only because he is black/british/lives in Monaco/rap friends/roscoe

this is what Lewis supporters have dealt with, modestly since 2007, and ironically its actually becoming a lot of fun now :yikes:

Tracking down the list uncovers a glaring omission from sagis ""mistake""
Yup it says the worlds most MARKETED IN 2014, which she somehow deleted by mistake.

So in 2014 before his WDC he was already one of the MOST MARKETED - in complete contrast to OBs risble claim, and we are still waiting for OBs proof that since his WDC NOONE WANTS TO ENDORSE HIM because of 'I wonder why'

There is a distinction to be made, then, between those athletes with mass appeal and those suitable for the most marketable list. With that in mind, SportsPro has surveyed the landscape and put together a list of 20 of the world’s most marketed athletes.

Nothing wrong with the link, as I've opened it more than once.
In fact, I just opened it now.

Take a look again. I didn't delete that.

For the record, when I copy and paste, I don't alter information.
When I omit bits and pieces, I acknowledge it.

Saig could you please explain why Boosty made a "very good point" now that we've established Lewis is the most marketable sportsman in 2014 and is included in the most marketed list in 2014 even before winning his 2nd Championship.

Hopefully Boosty could help with his professional input as well.

hmmn, I am sure the ' in 2014' part was missing, anyway now its in there its obvious that it wasnt part of the formatting when originally pasted in your post - there would be adequate space, just like in the original page. So maybe when you cut and paste 'without modification' somehow your keyboard modified the spaces

heres your 'pasted without modification, or subsequent edit' post

I hope you're not suggesting I put it in "afterwards", as I'm sure you've noticed that once someone
else makes a comment, any editing done is noted at the bottom of any previous post.

In my original post, rather than "accidentally delete" it, as you've suggested, I actually bolded
"The World's Most Marketed 2014". What I didn't do was press the return bar so that Ronaldo
started the list. That's probably where the confusion is; however, rest assured it was a typo.

He may be marketable but just isn't being marketed. Maybe that is why he parted ways with his celebrity management company?

:thumbup::thumbup::rofl:

These epic quotes should be framed and saved as a sticky topic. Just in case any of us are having a bad day and need some instant endorphin rushes to brighten the day a bit.

Man this thread has devolved into a tedious argument on how to cut and paste. Good work team!

But yes it now appears that Lewis is 'marketable' and 'being marketed' but he still doesn't have the big endorsement deals enjoyed by other top sports stars.

With his second championship Lewis could definitely start to do better in the future but with Ricciardo being named best in F1 by the fans and Merc giving due credit to their 'W05ld Champion' car for the 2014 championship wins Lewis may need a hard fought competitive result in 2015 to seal the deal on real endorsement money. His $2M/year is not anywhere near the top of the endorsement income list!

First of all - message to the mods, please move all these 'Lewis has no endorsements' stuff to the poll thread I created just to keep all the boycott stuff out of the Lewis thread. We will get round to Nascar on that thread pretty soon Im sure

As for present day fyi, Tiger was listed as the leading endorsement disaster in this article.

"Tiger Woods saw $22 million walk out the door after his habit of not being able to stay away from ladies who weren't his wife was exposed."

He lost more endorsement $ in one day than Lewis might earn in his whole racing career. Wow.

Top 10 Wealthiest Athletes: Worldwide Endorsements Edition 2014
1. Tiger Woods, $65 million
Of course, Tiger Woods tops it off. The most marketable athlete in one of the most affluent sports, Woods’s deals with Nike, Rolex, the Upper Deck trading card company, and Fuse Science (a sports nutrition firm) keep him rolling in cash even with his winnings are drying up. After a dismal pair of tournament showings to start of the 2014 season — one 80th place finish and one withdrawal — Woods is in danger of losing his No. 1 spot to the competition. What do you think?

It’s unlikely that Woods will ever regain his form again, but I’m not sure he’s terribly worried about it. After cracking $1 billion in career earnings this year, it would be an impressive feat for Tiger to ever be hurting for money again. Actually, we might think it’d be fun to see him try.

Someone is too 'obtuse' to remember what they said previously cos they lie so much they can never remember, heres another application for the Mensa board of governors

^ Please stop cooking you are embarrassing yourself!

Tiger isn't even in golfs Top 10 endorsers in 2014. Not that Tiger Woods has any bearing at all on this discussion anyway as he had suffered a reputation disaster whereas Hamilton has not.

:rofl::rofl: You really were born to lose!!!

You are obviously an expert on sport stars like lewis and Tiger and their appeal for EVERYONE in the world outside your farm :rofl:

heres a bonus biscuit for clown of the month
Once again cooking you find yourself at odds with F1 insiders, this time it is Peter Windsor. His info is that an internal Merc Board survey identified that the benefits of a Rosberg championship would outweigh a Hamilton championship by a factor of 10 to 1! Watch at the 3:00 minute mark. And this comes after Windsor spends the first 3 mins berating Rosberg for Spa.

I see you have twisted your fairy tale from Alonso to Ricciardo :rofl::rofl:

I heard he was the favourite for endorsing manicures for sheep in your neighbourhood

:loser:

You have been asked to stop lying and to stop pulling made up stuff out your bottom, maybe you thought someone out there would just assume that your list confirms lewis' endorsment deals, nope, no sleight of hand tricks from somone like you will fool anyone on here

hold on, actually I can think of someone who should be along in a moment to give you a big

cookin please pay attention.

That is your information. I had originally had posted his endorsement income as 1.5 million and upped it based on your posting. So ironically and now quite embarrassingly for you it came out of your bottom! As far as I know that is the best info available. Now you weren't lying were you! ha

Yeah your obsession Tiger is doing pretty good now even considering he has lost almost half of his income due to scandal and poor results on the fairways. He though and the others on that list are the big endorsement earners. Lewis has a long way to go doesn't he.

Just accept the facts cookin and move along.

This is another heap of flies swimming in bull crap. The Ricciardo named "best in F1" by the fans is slander. 1 particular magazine voted him best PERFORMING driver of 2014. And you do realize there are many magazines out there, with quite a few others naming Lewis as Driver of the year right? But no, you choose to ignore all those sources and focus on 1 sole magazine or source which has Ricciardo on top. Pathetic. Both you, and your argument.

And you're moving the goal posts again with the endorsements part. You said it yourself, Lewis was not "being marketed" as much as Alonso and Danica.....well thanks to Sagi who thinks you're awesome and at the same time helpfully posted a link which contradicts you completely (Lewis alongside Alonso and other big celebs in a top 20 list), you have been misinformed in this aspect as well.

To top it of, you post a link of most wealthiest athelets. I see NO ALONSO, I see NO one who's even involved in motorsports.....so what the heck are you even trying to point out here? We're in an F1 site and we're comparing Lewis to any other active F1 driver on the grid today...it's what this is all about!

It's best you stop here, and quit trying to act like you're in control of this argument. You've contributed nothing but lies and bullsh*t, and after having been proven more than twice already in 2 pages, you continue spewing crap which says nothing at all. Seriously, just quit it and accept what you hate: Lewis is big time not just in F1 but in the world of endorsements as well. You don't like it, too f**king bad.

Luckily it's the Lewis Hamilton thread support thread... otherwise there would have been some writing in green and warnings issues.
