Kinda reminds me of last year when I think it was Coulthard who almost took off Rosberg's head.

It was Wurz, who has also had his fair share of close shaves over the years.

oops, my apologies.

No worries. ;)

Look at Heikki, he's going to be fun to watch for the rest of the season.
.

I think Heikki has made the most overtakes this year to date

A pretty good race I thought. I don't agree with Brundle that Massa was driver of the day. He just did his usual boring tactics. I would have given it to Kovalainen, to be honest, or possibly Hamilton. Kovalainen pulled off some great moves, Hamilton pulled off a great move on Massa as well, and also kept him very honest. If Hamilton had not have made a mistake in choosing the prime tyre yesterday and was able to look after his tyres as well as Kovalainen, he would have had a good chance of winning the race. Kovalainen, likewise, without a puncture would have been in the mix as well. For a circuit that Ferrari and Massa are supposed to own, McLaren put in a damn good showing (and Spain was not really the pasting we all thought it would be). The McLaren pit crew did a very slick job today as well, which no doubt helped to Hamilton ahead of Raikkonen (who was rank today). A few eyebrows will be raised in Maranello methinks.

Yeah, but Kovi had lame start...otherwise, he might have avoided that puncture and be on podium - maybe even win.

I like him much, but great driving does not cover for bad start. He needs to improve his starting routine if he wants to challenge for the top.

yeah he didnt get a very good take off then he looked like he was in 2 minds whether to cover Kimi or fight off Lewis's move and was just in the middle. bare in mind he hasnt had as many starts from the front in F1 as the guys around him.

Sure. I'm not saying he's hopeless, far from that... just that he should work on his take-off. Anyway, I don't really expect him to challenge for title in his first McLaren year, so from my point of view he's got plenty of time to get it right... and enjoy himself being in one of the best teams without stressing much for bad moments.

Potential he does have, and with a bit of polishing he'll be a force to reckon.

Trouble is the favoured tracks seem to have altered from last year. Ferrari now quicker on twisty bits and macca on straighter bits. How will it bode for monacco whee maccas were far superior last year? You right thos mcLaren will be working on it

Tracks that favour Ferrari and tracks that favour McLaren. At the end of the day it wont matter as the 2008 season will belong to Ferrari as it rightfully should. No one that cheats in the previous season is then allowed to win in the following. It would make the FIA look silly. Besides Ferrari has a quick car regardless of the track. As long as they kick arse in most races it wont matter. In fact I wouldn't care if Kovi won at Monaco as long as Lewis doesn't finish and Ferraris come 2nd and 3rd. Ferrari would then still increase their lead in both championships. And then we have the other great factor. We have the FIA that favours us too. ;-) Maybe if McLaren never cheated the FIA could be nice to them too. But no one likes a cheat or a recent cheater. Maccas? Thats a perfect nick name for McLaren. Maccas is what they call McDonalds as a slang word in Australia. You eat at Maccas. Just like Ferrari would eat McLarens or Maccas for dead on the race circuit. *LOL*

Yes Ferrari have the FIA on their side but maybe with the current scandle amongst their ranks they would be wise to avoid accusing others of cheating as a means of settling personal scores. As a Ferrari supporter who condones cheating i find it strange that you refer to last season in this way.
However you do talk sense when you express your fear of Lewis... You have obviosly recognised where the danger to Ferrari lies. Be glad you have the FIA to fight your battles, you'll need it!!

Funny how Ferrari turned against FM saying if he only had held back LH for a couple more laps instead of letting him pass easily, then KR could have finished 2nd and complete the 1-2 for Ferrari. C'mon, greedy bar stewards. Besides, FM races for himself especially when in the lead and winning. Or maybe not
