Omnicorse La Mercedes ha presentato una bozza d'accordo per il rinnovo contrattuale con Lewis Hamilton. Il contratto dell'inglese con la Stella a tre punte scadrà alla fine dell'anno, per cui Toto Wolff e Niki Lauda stanno lavorando per assicurarsi la continuità dei due piloti, anche se il team principal non ha esitato a tirare fuori il nome di Fernando Alonso, qualora la trattativa con Lewis si facesse troppo difficile.

Ma all'orizzonte non si respira un clima di rottura, anzi. Hamilton starebbe negoziando un contratto triennale, quidi valido fino alla fine del 2018, con un ingaggio principesco.

L'accordo sarebbe diviso in due parti: al fisso di circa 20 milioni di euro a stagione si aggiungerebbero dei bonus variabili: 1 milione per ogni vittoria e 5 milioni per il terzo titolo mondiale. Se la Mercedes dovesse essere competitiva come nel 2014, Lewis avrebbe l'opportunità di essere il pilota con l'ingaggio più alto...

My broken Italian here the rumored draft from Mercedes, Hamilton to get 20 million Euros a year with an additional 1 million for each win and 5 million on top of that for a third championship.

It makes sense from Mercs POV to structure it like that. However from Lewis' POV the amounts need to be revised. I would want a staggered scale for the wins, say the first 5 are 1 mill then 2 then 4. He must have a chance to receive the highest wage on the grid if Merc achieve their objectives. So for winning more races thn last year and the WDC his package should exceed 50£ mill

This existing structure, if correct means that even if he wins all the races and WDC he will be just about matching Seb and Alonso who wont have won anything.

Assuming ofcourse that Sebs 50 isnt just another pie in the sky Italian media non sense - chances are Alonso is on a performance bonus as well probably on a delta to his teammates results.

Having said that, Merc are the absolutely last mob to be allowing any details to leak out, we dont even know Nicos deal so why would we know Lewis' draft offer?

yeah I had a chuckle at that earlier, what would the media do without Lewis????? The funny thing is that there will be at least 10 forum geniuses out there somewhere who have fired off an indignant post about his arrogance without reading the whole article. And there will be the 'boycotts' who will tell us his father is no good for him, and that he should have one like Sebs

You're right. If you read the article AH has a huge respect for Rosberg and doesn't once put him down . And that's not what is suggested by the title. They print what they want to print, make their own heros and villains and to hell with reality.
