How about that pass from Lewis!! Too bad he couldnt keep 1st with that 3 stop strategy. My favorite battle was between Heikki and Timo.

YEAH FORZA FERRARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have increased our lead in the constructors championship by 8 points. Sad news is that in the drivers championship the gap to Kimi has been closed by 2 points to 7 point now but that is ok. Lewis did well to get second but his car sadly for McLaren supporters isn't up to scratch so I doubt he can keep that up in most of the other races. Well he might do well in the next race as it is in Monaco but hopefully the Ferraris qualify at the front so Lewis will not be problem. By the way anyone who cannot see the race live on TV go to this link.

I watched it live on the Internet with Video Streaming!!!! Insane. Channel 10 now showing the delayed race. Screw that. I've already seen it Live on the net. *LOL* Beats text telemetry on http://www.f1-live.com any day. ;-)

That was a very enjoyable race in comparison to the last few. There were several nice little battles that made it quite entertaining to watch. As soon as Felipe grabbed pole position yesterday, I knew that the only way he would not win this race would be if he had a problem. It was a nice tactical move from McLaren to use a three-stop strategy, especially when you consider that every three-stopper they've tried with Lewis previously has been somewhat disastrous.

I really feel sorry for Heikki, though, because he could have got a very good result had he not picked up that puncture. It's fair to say that he well and truly out-qualified Lewis yesterday and I think that that will help him when it comes to winning his first race, which will hopefully be one of the next two races.

Whilst Massa is now second in the championship and only seven points behind Raikkonen, the real test will be the next two races. If he finishes on the podium in both, I would say that he is realistically in with a chance of taking the title battle to the final round, but it is known that he may very well have major problems with those races. I was quite impressed with how he didn't lose his head when Lewis caught and then passed him - I was expecting him to push a little too hard and spin or have an accident, so good on him there.

Roll on Monaco :D

If he was on a two-stop strategy I don't think he would have been able to pass Massa on-track at all and he would have had to run a longer stint on the soft tyres. The stint he did run on those wasn't the best as it allowed Raikkonen to catch right up to him. It would have been very, very close though.

I'm also wondering how it would have been if Heikki hadn't suffered that puncture, because he would still, I feel, have been fuelled up a bit heavier than Lewis. Not sure it would have been enough to jump ahead of him, mind you.

They had to do 3 stop. Bridgestone insisted for safety reasons, but Lewis made the best he cud of it

A pretty good race I thought. I don't agree with Brundle that Massa was driver of the day. He just did his usual boring tactics. I would have given it to Kovalainen, to be honest, or possibly Hamilton. Kovalainen pulled off some great moves, Hamilton pulled off a great move on Massa as well, and also kept him very honest. If Hamilton had not have made a mistake in choosing the prime tyre yesterday and was able to look after his tyres as well as Kovalainen, he would have had a good chance of winning the race. Kovalainen, likewise, without a puncture would have been in the mix as well. For a circuit that Ferrari and Massa are supposed to own, McLaren put in a damn good showing (and Spain was not really the pasting we all thought it would be). The McLaren pit crew did a very slick job today as well, which no doubt helped to Hamilton ahead of Raikkonen (who was rank today). A few eyebrows will be raised in Maranello methinks.

I highly doubt that. I would say he would of come 3rd had he done a 2 stopper. If they did a 2 stoper, Lewis wouldn't of even touched Massa and Kimi would of passed Lewis when they both came for their 2nd stops. Either way Lewis ran a awsorme race. I wouldn't never say a nice thing like that about Lewis, never, but have today so yes he did well as a driver but McLaren not as quick as Ferrari. It was Lewis' skill that got the car to second place.

A very good race indeed :D . Strategy was the main factor for both Ferrari and McLaren in this race and I see that McLaren has made progress and hat's off to Lewis, it is turning into a very exciting season.

How about Fisichella running into the back of nakajima at the beginning? Man he had a bad weekend. Its a shame Bourdais spun off the track, I thought he was doing quite well. I cant wait to see how he does at Monaco, the new STR3 should help a bit too.

Indeed. It was, from looking at it, down to Fisichella braking too late.

I'm happy that Vettel actually managed to finish the race, but not in a very impressive position. It must have been a very lucky performance in qualifying to do what he did in Melbourne.

Massa wasn't the only driver to claim a hat trick this weekend. Fisichella did too, because that's the third race in a row at Turkey which he has caused mayhem at the first corner. :P

I think Bourdais will have had either a brake disc failure or a suspension failure.

Mate I am not arguing. I am right and you know it. I congratulate Lewis for getting 2nd and almost winning for his skill with the 3 stopper. I am very hestitant to ever congratulate Lewis for anything as I don't like him but fact remains McLaren is not at Ferraris pace and Lewis would of done worse had he done a 2 stopper.

It looked like Sutil moved to pass Nakajima, and it was almost like Fisi didn't know that Nakajima was in front of the German. thus Fisi panicked, snatched a brake and went straight on into the Williams. In hindsight for his team he picked the right car to run into!

Bourdais was indeed doing well. I like the Frenchman a lot and he's done very well against Vettel so far considering their relative experience in the STR2.

The best race of the season by far.
I thought Mclaren was actually closer after yesterday's Q, but it was the fumes. But it turned out well thanks to Lewis' race. Now I see why he was so frustrated after yesterday's Q.

Great race by Lewis; that pass on Massa, although considerably lighter, awarded him those extra 2 points vs. Kimi. With a little extra help there with Heikki damaging Kimi's nose

The championship just got closer, which is great.
