That's lovely Second Coming! Written from the heart. Clearly from his writing style he isn't a regular writer, he just wanted to say it.

My thoughts exactly.

"Those that had followed Mr Hamilton from the start had a sense he was denied previous race points, race wins and a championship by strange penalties that seemed to accrue to him rather than others. In a period characterised by procession “racing” he was overtaking – but it was deemed to be dangerous driving by those in smoke filled rooms. It seemed that attempts were made to smother his natural talent and drive in a “conventional” manner and to know his “place” in the field"

So true.

So very head bang annoyingly true!!

So true, and at least we were vocal about this, I have posts saying practically the same thing even on here - especially the 'know his place' bit - with the stewards and the media and the brundles and the Caledonian windbags etc etc and all those getting boners at Seb coming along and winning 4WDCs while feted by Bernie as a guy he would like as a son in law

Lets see how the favourite son gets on at the noble team next season, I am happy to declare the biggest mutual demythification is imminent. Ferrari will be a shadow of the limping donkey of the Alonso era and will be a textbook display of how a driver can do nothing without a decent car

2011 has to be one of the most frustrating years for Hamilton fans in F1, even worse than 2007. Not only because of the way he was frequently penalised for marginal racing incidents but also how the McLaren hierarchy (you know who) calculatedly played on his insecurities. Despite everything, Lewis never lost his edge or speed, still kept coming back sticking the car on pole and winning races. When I saw the video of Alonso going to congratulate him, one thing that was obvious is the humility that runs through the family. They are clearly grateful for being in the position they are and Lewis has his dad to thank for for instilling that attribute in him.

Good points LH44. I also felt hugh frustrations at the way Lewis was treated by the stewards and his team in 2011. Button and Whitmarsh had a lot to gain by playing on his insecurities, when a little support would have been nice to see and gone a long way.

His humility is always apparant , and another thing that used to irritate me, was the way certain factions accused him of arrogance and entitlement. Nothing could be further from the truth. I say used to because I think all but the outright haters and actually getting the message now about Lewis.

Speaking of "hugh" frustrations; Our friend Huge Crapmore stopped peddling his drivel here. :drink: sore bottoms up!

Well that's something to celebrate! :wine:

Although he did post an article on November 17th about Magnussen and Button. I've yet to read it.

Honestly, more people will be attracted to the site with better articles on the front page! It's a shame the guest writer / forum member articles don't exist anymore.

That's something id like to see happen Lew!

:yikes: Would have to be very selective

Even Hugh Crapmore seems aware that MS didnt design the Hybrid or that each team can modify its own engine after each race

But ofcourse these are valid opinions that we have to agree with lest upsetting those writing the articles - I wonder if the articles would be quoted by other F1 media and commented on if they became front page on this site :scratchchin:

You really shouldn't spread rumours like that!
That's how the silly season gets its name! :whip:

:hehe:

I think forum member articles had to be authorized by Chris Hayes before being included on the front page anyway. Articles that Ewan Marshall wrote, for example, were never posted under a front-page alias of his own, but under Chris Hayes (with his name quoted within the actual article as the writer).

The same is the case for other forum members, apart from Johnny (7UpJordan) and Sam Moffatt.

Not sure how it all happened, but that's what I can see anyway.
