I've no doubts about what Massa will do. He will go light on fuel in qualifying, get on pole position, and try to lead from the front - all because he can't handle any pressure or overtake - even with traction control. How exciting.

I've no doubts what Lewis will do: He will try to get on pole position, and try to win from the front - all because he handles the pressure by hitting the wrong buttons or hitting Alonso. How exciting.

Hitting the wrong buttons: unproven. Hitting Alonso: Hamilton's front wing fell off before the incident. Hamilton has indeed made mistakes, but has shown he has the potential to be a great driver. Massa will always be a waster.

Having looked at the practice times, it's so far so good for McLaren. Early days yet, of course, but given this is a track at which Ferrari were expected to mop up the opposition, it shows McLaren have made some more progress. BMW are reporting some setup problems, explaining why they don't look to particularly special. I wouldn't discount them yet, for after looking at the data, there are some changes they could make to improve matters. Overall, Ferrari look to be the favourites, but there is a chance of an upset from McLaren, and BMW are looking to be the third-best outfit this weekend.

You see, you don't sound so bad when you are being reasonable. :)
It's true, Mclaren look very close (considering this is not supposed to be a Mclaren track). I still have some doubts as to what the real pace of the BMWs is... but unless they get both cars in front of the Mclarens, then the fight will be really tight at the front.

Lewis has the potential you're right. He has both the potential and the car (even though this yr the car has shown to be a challenge). But until he proves he can race cleanly without misterious mistakes, starting from the pack, then he is just a lucky waster.

For All Kimi's lack of running in Session one, he sure bounced back strong. I think Mclaren have found something for this weekend, certainly they aren't on Ferrari's pace but they have moved back into 2nd place. Alonso looks points worthy too.

Also according to Autosport rain isnt expected... even though they said so yesterday :(... but things change quickly so fingers crossed!

I know Hamilton is not the finished article, in fact, I've been trying to shoot down folk on here who think he is already a Formula One legend. I wouldn't call him a waster, however. His potential has shown and his work ethic is good. Massa, on the other hand, just doesn't have anything close to the ability that people like Alonso and Raikkonen have proven they have, indeed, he was brought to Ferrari only because he was Todt's buddy and to be Schumacher's tea boy and is being kept at Ferrari to have a de facto one-two system of operation at the team by way of the difference in ability between the two drivers. I suppose, calling him a waster is too harsh, he's a decent person, I'm sure, but I would just like to see Formula One become more of a meritocracy. That's one of the reasons why I came to support McLaren.

Massa just isn't good enough. I'm sorry, but he has no consistency. Bahrain, Spain, Turkey and Brazil are the only circuits that he ever excells at tbh. Isn't his manager Jean Todt's son? He's just the "yes" man in Ferrari, do everything for the good of the team, he seems to lack the ability to seize the moment, when he does beat Kimi, it's usually due to a faster pit stop :P

Besides needing to Phone Micheal Schumacher all the time says it all. Kimi got the right attitude, champions think for themselves!

That happened to me this time last year when I set my VCR to record Spanish GP - whilst I was seeing my beloved Blades get relegated courtesy of cheating West Ham - and surprise surprise it didn't work to make matters work, had to watch highlights later, but I didn't miss much thankfully.
