I think there is a reasonable chance of Button snatching a podium whether it is wet or dry, the Williams seem to go backward from their starting position in general while Button has moved forward (I know JB has started further back in general) and the McLaren is a better car now than in mid season, it's possible and you never know, the Williams/Mercedes could tangle. Interlagos always provides exciting racing and surprises, this is the first race in a while that I've been looking forward to.

Daniel Ricciardo's another hard-charger who tends to finish higher than he qualifies, always worth keeping an eye on him, too!
Have to agree though, anything tends to happen in Brazil and it's one of my personal favourites. A win for Massa and a podium for JB would be magic!

More likely in the wet, the Williams' are still too strong in the dry even with poor strategy, but it was a good lap from Button. He'd need a lot to go right, similar to Ricc last week, for a podium.

The top three all had scrappy best laps but Nico does it again. I always sit in hope that he'll keep Hamilton at bay just to prove he can, but Lewis to come out on top again tomorrow, especially if it rains.

Lewis was looking supremely confident. He didn't seem bothered at all by not getting the pole.
Its a strange place Brazil.....well I don't mean Brazil...the race, unusual things happen. The pole sitter hasn't won that many times, I think second place has won the race more often, and there have been winners from a lot further back on the grid. Rain often plays it's part, though I don't think there's a high chance of rain tomorrow is there?

Lewis is in a great position, in a way I think he is better chasing Nico, than having a Nico chasing him in desperado, point proving, 'irrational exuberance' mode.

He can just do the same as Austin, stalk Nico, save fuel and tyres and then make his move around the pitstops (there will be 2 if not 3) - so he has maybe 3 chances to exp0loit his superior racecraft, fuel, ERS and tyre management

He just has to worry about the 'threat' of Jenson 'pouncing' from behind :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hey! Jenson might pounce from behind if Ham, Ros, Mas, Bot and Ric all have a huge accident a la DC at Spa in 1997 (I think that's the correct year)

Good qualifying session today, the times are always so close in Brazil. Rosberg ends up with pole thanks to a Hamilton error in turn 10. Lets see if he make things interesting and take advantage of this mistake to reduce Hamilton's lead before heading to the AduDhabidouble.

Massa looked fast and if he can get a good start he could factor in tomorrow in front of his home crowd. With all that top end speed he would be hard to pass.

I shouldn't get your hopes too high about Rosberg capitalising on his pole position. He hasn't managed it yet . ( Monaccogate aside)

Even though there is no competition this year and its boring racing and the sound is bad and the speeds are slower....

what great entertainment that was, congrats to Nico for keeping his head, congrats to Lewis for not settling for second, congrats to Button for a couple of flashes of what he is capable of, congrats to Seb, Massa, Kimi, Alonso

THAT WAS SOME REAL RACING!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes he made an error or he'd have had Nico, but he was pushing like hell. He had to try. Closed up the gap as well in the last stint. Great from both of them and pleased for Massa to get that third. Fun watching the Ferrari's fight without orders. And a congrats to Jens, a good race from him.
