i think Nico mentally accepted the bottom bunk bed several races ago. Thats the advantage of being so much stronger mentally than Lewis - Nico knows when he is beaten, whereas Lewis would probably stupidly turn up the wick and go on a war footing - complicated things mental strength and weakness - maybe that why there are so many new editions of the same academic theories

I was cringing during that podium. Andretti said it more than once. Rosberg's face was indeed a picture.

It is painful when the new guy comes to your home and makes it his. Its like being the trusted employee, and then the new intern comes in and just does things better. Not by politicking or waddling around the boss' knickers, but simply by outperforming the more 'experienced' employee in everything the company requires....marketing and racing aspect.

Nico is feeling blue right now....and I think we might have still not seen the worst yet. Unless he has really been hurt by the Spa aftermath and will put a brave face but when it comes down to it he will yield...as he did so well in Austin. It was a perfect opportunity to cut Hamiltons tyre again but thankfully, he chose not to this time.

What I'm wondering is this. If in the last race Hamilton is running second. Will he just sit there? Or will he go for the win? The championship means a hell of a lot more to him that another win. In some ways, running second in that race is a safe place to be. ........unless Rosberg backs him into Bottas or Ricciardo , assuming one of those is running third. He has to be so careful in that race. He has to stay out of trouble. Rosberg can go for it, he's nothing to loose and everything to win.

Hamilton's dislike of coming second might need to be tempered if there's no immediate threats, for a nice pootle to the title. But it's Hamilton so that probably won't happen.

If Nico was trying to back him up he'd be in danger of just letting Hamilton through for an easy pass. Rosberg's tried enough unconventional tactics to hopefully realise this would not work.

How about a pole to flag win and him shrugging his shoulders at the end, like, I don't know what you were all worried about?

There's an interview with him on the F1 site. He sounds very relaxed yet again. If anything goes wrong these last two races I don't think it will be anything Hamilton does.

Surely if Rosberg slows him up Hamilton just has to go for a pass Senna style. Either A) Get Past or B) Take both cars out but win the championship

Expecting Nico to be cerebral enough to actually manage Hamilton behind? Lol no freakin chance...the guy wets his overalls whenever Hamilton is near him, the lockups, the runoffs, I was surprised he kept the lead as long as he did in Texas.

Another stupendous pole lap for Nico, qualifying was actually exciting today with Massa also on fire in front of his home crowd. Nico get's the qualifying trophy. That's gotta be some consolation right?

BBC need to understand the difference between inter and intra, otherwise that was a good read, good sum up of the ongoing battle between these two and the highlights/ lowlights of it.

Look at the difference between the two drivers when asked what it would mean to win the World Championship -
