i dont really get the night thing, can any1 tell me why japan doesnt need to? there around the same time.

the whole night thing is a load of s*** no matter what way you look at it!

Japan is the 3rd largest economy in the world, sponsors move a lot of metal in Japan.

Australia?

I used to complain in the Sony store that we had to wait so long to get Playstation games in Australia when I was a teenager. The owner turned to me and said "Son, if you take the smallest American state it's demand for playstation games is still stronger then this entire country put together."

Japan has the economic clout to tell Bernie to go screw himself, Australia doesn't.

you missed my point as usual

You don't have a point bud, your vocabulary is too limited...

haha is that it? nice try though

australia needs a street circuit in order for it to be true F1, it needs to promote its city to the world, a racing circuit is too dull and doesnt show much except meadow and blue sky.

id love it to come back to adelaide but the whole money thing will leave us out unless mike rann can hook up something of a loan with a rich arabian sheik.

bud would agree with me. it was and still is the best street circuit in the world. as far as night races go....stop your pommie whinging and stay up for one race for feck sake.

cry me a river

As stated elsewhere, you're preaching to the converted here. Most every current F1 fan likes it as it is, no night race for Aussieland required. It's BE who wants it for potential new F1 watchers (I'm reluctant to call them fans yet).

Pommie whinging? As far as I know it's only Bernie who's brought this up. As far as I and tru F1 fans go, it's getting up at 4 for the first race of the season, and all part of it! This year I just got pissed and stayed up. All good fun. As for Aedlaide, I'd love to see F1 back there.

I think it's alright as a one off, but I hope it doesn't become a trend of every race that might be 3 or 4am GMT. One of the traditions of an F1 fan has always been getting up so early in the morning to watch the race, it's all part and parcel of the sport.

But it would be best to see how the Singapore event goes first. :)

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Getting up for Melbourne Qually is the way to open the season for any F1 fan :P tis an exciting and random time. I watched the Moto Gp night race and wasn't impressed with it, I'll give F1 the benefit of the doubt, keep it for the singapore race and the singapore race only. It'll just become novelty if not... Like when you first buy a new airfreshner for the car... then it runs out and becomes s***... that's exactly what will happen if all of the races in become night races.
