I've personally been enjoying the season on and off the track. Looking forward to 2015, because of course anyone that doesn't show up with a more competitive car has only themselves to blame.
I too have been enjoying this season thoroughly. The dynamic between the driver pairings alone has kept my attention. I pretty much knew what to expect from Lewis vs Nico once Lewis had a car that was designed with a lot of his input (as opposed to Schumi's). What I was really looking forward to was the big tussle between Alonso and Kimi. Well, that quickly fizzled to a one-sided affair...but still interesting to watch how it transpired over time. The celestial dramas at Ferrari's helm have also been an interesting spectacle. Monte saying I'm going nowhere, only to turn around from the press room mic and have two blokes in red blazers handing him his boxes of personal belongings (including a slinky, rubber chicken and a limited edition red Ren & Stimpy necktie). Then there is the Vettel vs new boy. No one saw Ricciardo flogging Vettel at the onset of the season but here we are. Very interesting TV, that. Then there was the pre-season jabbering from McLaren, only to see them flounder about. The rookie has shun at times and made Button look very bad but overall, as a team effort, it smells bad. Williams' ascendancy has been good to watch. Bottas being fresh talent, showing up Massa, who I must admit, looks to be done talent-wise. Williams could do better...and for a far lighter pay packet. Force India has done really well on a small budget and the drivers have really put on a show in the mid pack. Impressive! Not so impressive is the slide of Sauber. With two teams already in the hands of administrators, Sauber has one foot on a banana peel and completely off balance. Damn shame!
We've had some blazing races, ala Bahrain, Spain and Silverstone. We've had controversy...The Monaco Park-and-Reverse botch, the need to prove a point (because I can't stand getting my arse handed to me every two weeks by my team-mate) and the "Tough Luck!" We've had lots to not only see on the tube but then to read about in the papers. Bernie practicing bending at the knees when picking up the soap as he prepares for jail time. Whitmarsh pulling one almighty Houdini trick, pulling the rip chord and simply vanishing in thin air only to re-appear months later in time to hear, "OK Martin, you're out!" A season wouldn't be glorious without Uncle Ron pressing legal action against some team over an employee who promised to come work for him only to then back out and stay with their current employers. Par for the course there. The most interesting of happenstance of late is the recent emergence from his dark, dank dungeon...Max Mosely. He's been in the press of late giving his two bits on safety, F1's distribution of profits, how to spank a fanny without leaving red marks...wait, he didn't publicly talk about that last one. (We'll edit that part out later.)
So, beyond the Mercedes (welcomed) dominance, we've had a lot of wonderful things to soak up this season so far. From my armchair, it's been pretty good stuff. (I'm just saying...)

Such fun!
