In conclusion, it's not the dominance of a driver/team that F1 fans find
unpalpable, rather it's the who is dominating that seems to be the issue.

unpalatable?

Yup! Grazie!

Putting things in perspective for what Mercedes AMG has achieved this year thus far:

=12 wins
=14 poles
=8 1-2s

And need 25 points to wrap up the WCC for 2014.

RBRs WCC points record stands at 650. Mercedes needs another 128 points from "5" races to beat this record.

It's been a thrashing so far almost like no other. :cloud9:

They've still to work on McLaren's 'win-every-race-except-one' record though

Magic 8 at the ‪#‎JapaneseGP‬; 8th front row and 8th one-two finish for the team, Nico Rosberg's 8th pole and 8th P2 finish and Lewis Hamilton's 8th win. All achieved at a figure of 8 circuit!

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has paid tribute to Ross Brawn for "building the foundations" for Mercedes' maiden F1 Constructors' title.

Brawn resigned as Mercedes Team Principal at the end of 2013, with Wolff and technical chief Paddy Lowe going on to lead the outfit.

Having flourished under the sport's new technical regulations, the Silver Arrows secured the 2014 crown in Russia with three races to run.

"It's incredible: I have to pinch myself that we are part of Mercedes-Benz history," said Wolff. "Our team won the first ever F1 Constructors' title for Mercedes-Benz and I feel proud and honoured to be part of this group."

"The foundations of this success were built by Ross and he played such an important role in the team to prepare this success," Wolff made clear. "We have been able to continue that work, making the right decisions, putting the right resources in place and putting the team on an upward slope; today's achievement is the result of that."

Some good points in that article about Ross' relationship with Merc, Totos role, Paddys strengths - All points previously posted in this forum in detailed long winded posts that are only good for pedantic nit picking from those who have no interest in F1 and definitely no requirement for truth or meaning. Happily if there is at least 1 person who is able to appreciate its all good, thats just how it is swamped by the unambitious slack losers in this world. At least now James Allen has posted this, it is acceptable and can be pretend understood.

For me the guy who has the biggest 'uncelebrated vs critically important for success' metric is Aldo Costa. More than Paddy, a bit more than Toto, very close to Niki and replacing Ross as far as the cog in the works it woyuld not have happened so quick if he was someone else not as bright or as able to produce despite the uncertainty from the management

So well done Aldo Costa
