Barring a mistake or unreliability I think Rosberg now needs to win all 3 races to be World Champion. One win and two 2nd places would be enough for Hamilton now I believe.

Double Points for Abu Dhabi. Lewis will have 31 points should he win with a Mercs 1-2 for the next two races.

1 win and 2 second places would give Hamilton another 79 points (25+18+36).

2 wins and a second place would give Rosberg another 93 points (18+25+50).

Should this scenario happen, Hamilton would be World Champion by 3 points.

But a DNF for Lewis and it's all over. The season has been dictated entirely by reliability.

But Hamilton has less pressure. Rosberg HAS to win all 3 races realistically, one mistake and it could be game over. One more win for Hamilton and he can just turn everything down and follow Rosberg home in the other 2 races. And with Merc's dominance that is easy to do. I've never seen a driver dominate so much despite spending the whole race coasting on the straights.

Rossberg has less pressure than desperation. Surprised the rolled the dice today and in the process could have thrown much more away than he would up losing.

Hopefully Nico will keep it together next time and give us a show! It's happened every now and then (most recently in Suzuka), but it'd be great to round out the season with some solid rivalry on the tarmac.

Nico knows that he can't beat Lewis without playing dirty imo.

Will he take out lewis at least once during the next 3 races??

IMO, Lewis is by far the better driver here and everyone and their dog can see it.
Let's see if Nico can play fair and actually beat Lewis on the track.

I don't think he can.

I actually think Nico will play fair from here on in. I hope so. I think the booing shook him to the core and if he wins the championship by more underhand moves he knows what to expect now.

Nico is beaten mentally. Just look at the difference in his demeanour in interviews before just after Spa and recently. He has psychologically accepted the lower bunk bed

even though Lewis is the mentally weak one who cracked under pressure recently, his superior racecraft has but the heebie jeebies on Nico

He did? Did I doze off for the last six months? When exactly did Lewis crack under pressure?
#421088
He cracked under pressure because in one of his recovery drives from the back he was a bit scrappy and made a little contact with the mobile chicane called button. If he had stronger intellect and mental composure he would not have been so scrappy, so it was obvious he had cracked. especially as he was then beaten in the next quali by 0.006 by Nico

please try keep up with the psychology reports from the expertz

Ahhh, I see. If you would be so kind as to point them out, that would be lovely. (For my own benefit, of course.)

They have all lost their long case studies faster than a caterham seat when the sponsor doesnt pay up

but in the meantime here is a former post in this thread from me back in June

He just has to be faster all the time, data or no data. Merc have had this data sharing so afr and so far Lewis leads Nico in quali and is a little faster in the race. The faster guy will tend to quali higher and control the race. Its a numbers game and with the amount of races left this is not a time to change the fundamentals. Lewis is faster and shoyuld win even with a couple more dnfs. Ofcourse anything can happen and so its not gauranteed, but as far as i am concerned(and the bookies) nothing fundamental has changed apart from the dnfs and a couple of outlying events.

He should not worry about Nico seeing his data or hiding his speed, nothing can help Nico brake later, use less fuel, skim walls better. It hasnt over the 16 years, why now.

If anything Lewis should be even more confident now than he was after being 25 down after the first race

Lewis has the edge because he is faster and over 14 races that counts

Cookin, I love your argument...right up to the point where Nico then tries to convince the world that HE is the supreme driver of the pair. That's kinda where I draw the line in the sand and say, "Nico, do your own setup work and see where that gets you. If you have 9 wins (and counting) to Lewis' 4 and you beat him fair and square to the WDC, then and only then are you the supreme driver on that team. Until then, shut it."

But again, I hear what you're saying, Lewis is gonna be Lewis. The only thing that will stop him winning is if the team cocks up his car or Nico takes him out (or something similarly despicable—he is good for that).
