What the ****? Seriously, Kvyat spends one year in the junior team and gets the jump to promotion? Seriously, does Red Bull hate JEV? Poor JEV, he gets a great chance to join RBR next year and they give him the middle finger....

...and swivel it

I feel really sorry for JEV. He must wonder what he has to do. That said I can see why they promoted Kvyat. He's young and he's proved he has what it takes. A very lucky boy though.

He is dubbed as the next Vettel, that's why. They could've promoted Buemi, they could've promoted JEV but in the end, they got Kvyat because of what they see in him. Ricciardo and Kvyat should be interesting.

Yes. An exciting pairing.

Imagine Alonso in Red Bull overalls, seriously can't not picture that, my brain would not compute it. Then again seeing Vettel in red Ferrari overalls for the first time next year will be weird.

Vettel still has a little chip to hold on to..."I've achieved 4 WDCs with RB and now I want a new challenge" (tho the real story is easy to see)

Whereas Alonso is just a failed experiment at Ferrari. Mr "I want to be the next Schumi" has come out empty handed and wherever he's going to is a big step down if it isn't the Mercedes works team.

Failed experiment? Jeeze. Like McLaren's hiring of Hamilton was a failed experiment, squeaking one title in six years?

If Vettel's titles were too easily earned because of the car, you can't vilify his closest competitors for failing in inferior machinery.

It's all relative...after the dominant 2000-2004 period Alonso was taken on board as the next 'Schumi' to lead their next 'dominant' run......and they got squat. AKA "Failed Experiment".

In regards to Hamilton and McLaren, McLaren didn't win jack squat for 9 years until Lewis delivered (while his team lost the WCC). Not only just delivered, but prior to it he chased out a 2xwdc running in fear back to a midfield outfit while making a record rookie performance in F1 history.

And who gives a $hit if he squeaked it or won by a 100 points, useless statement when it comes to racing. Even an airhead like Vin Diesel knows where its at.

You're big on the melodrama, Hammy.

I wasn't 'aware' that Ferrari were 'naive' enough to think 'experimenting' with Alonso was going to replicate the MS era. Although infact it has replicated that era, except he's leaving just as MS WC success kicked off.

Maybe McLaren didn't win anything for nine years because Ferrari dominance accounted for most of them and the two times McLaren had a chance they ballsed it up. The same way RB scuppered anyways chances after that. And Alonso left for political reasons not directly because of Hamilton.

And, yes, Vin Diesel, you got me there.

What's the issue here exactly? You disagree with me saying Alonso was Ferrari's 'failed experiment'. Correct? Well, as I recall he was hired by Ferrari and the words ensued forth by Luca De Monto was along the lines of replicating the success of the Ferrari-Schumi era. I remember this interview well since its exactly what I really would not have wanted. So you can trust me on this one. :D

If you don't like my referral to the Alonso-Ferrari partnership, its all good....I call it as I see it.

How did Lewis get dragged in this? Comparing Alonso at a Ferrari and Lewis at McLaren doesn't really work tho. It's like saying a man and wife who decided to start a family are a failed experiment because they didn't have twins or quads and then comparing that to a couple who didn't conceive despite all the medical worlds latest experiments to reverse infertility suffered by the couple

Only one of those is a FAILED experiment
