Trouble is though you have to make a good decision as to when to go for a pee!

That's easy, you go for one before the race starts. :P

They interviewd Button (no problem with Button) then went to the press conference to hear only from (3rd place) Hamilton missing out Kimi and Massa completely.

Glad i'm not alone in being wound up by them - unfortunately I can only see the coverage getting worse as the season goes on, especially if Hamilton is knocked out of contention.

I'm looking forward to the last race of the season. "Oooh, look, something very exciting is about to happen so let's cut to a *really* long ad break" :?

This is the only footage of SpeedTV I have really seen, and I loved it!

Well, as a Schumacher fan it was the channel to watch it!

is this what the guys are like all the time?

Yes, that's a pretty representative excerpt, these days minus the talk about MS of course. Pretty entertaining, but there's also a lot of technical info strewn in and not too much about LH ALL the time

And one which will contain every annoying advert (especially if they chuck in that annoying "C'MON!!!!" Corsa ad) of this year. Then when they come back we will have missed something like Hamilton overtaking 5 cars in one move.

If any of you brits have the SPEED channel, I would watch it form there. They have pretty good coverage during the race, and the commentators are cool too.

Yes I've heard that Speed is good but dont they have even more adverts than ITV?

The big plus with BBC is no adverts, so you dont have to wait until the ads have finished to see if Massa has spun off again, or Mark Webber broken down or D.C. been involved in another prang.! Trouble is though you have to make a good decision as to when to go for a pee!

Uhh I would say the adverts are alright, but I really like the commentators because they are informitive, funny, and arent annoying. They're are 4 commentators and they are Bob Varsha, David Hobbs, Steve Matchett, and Peter Windsor. I like Peter Windsor because he gets good interviews with the drivers before the races on the grid, Steve Matchett knows knows all the techinical stuff and explains them well, David Hobbs is the funny guy but he also knows a lot because he used to race in F1 I think, and Bob Varsha is my favorite because he used to be the commentor back when I watched CART, and he has a cool voice and is very informitive.

Hobb's and Varsha are a match made in heaven for commentary. I really like Hobb's because of his character and sense of humor and alway's enjoy his storie's from the past. I really like Varsha also because of his honesty and knowledge and I have watched him since his very first year covering F1, it's like we are old friend's.

I can't sit there and listen to those 3. Varsha doesn't seem F1 to me, Hobbs, while a great experienced racer and therefor on paper suitable for colour commentary, has an annoying manner. Matchett, I worship, but it doesn't make up for it. I also think Peter Windsor is weird.

So I don't watch it on Speed. I watch it on TSN. They give us the ITV audio. I absolutely adore MB. I so miss James Hunt, don't you? If Mrs Madbrad gets hit by a bus I'll go gay and marry MB right after the funeral. The kids'll love him! James Allen, so-so, I don't have a problem with. I know he's a problem for most people in this forum, but maybe that's only for you Brits to have. I can't find what you see. I like Louise, who should be Max's replacement, and how DC always runs straight to her whenever he crashes or loses that seamless transmission.

"I think DC and louise should should have a seperate channel and do there own show after each crash he has "

I like Itv coverage apart from the adverts, yes they seem to go more for the british drivers for interviews etc but all tv stations will have a bias to there nationality.
and sometimes you need an advert so you can pee although there`s no point in the advert if were all peeing when its on.

i no a lad who will drink a pint of his or anybody elses pee for a bet but thats another story......

I miss James Hunt too, and everytime he used to slag off someone like Olivier Grouillard everytime he blocked somebody whilst being lapped. Who would he slag off if he was still commentating? Coulthard?

Coulthard fancies Louise Goodman, you can always tell when he speaks to her. :P

I dunno, DC has a hot lady, and louise is old and, umm, let's say visually challenged.

I don't mind Varsha when he's doing the Barrett Jackson auction coverage.

In the 2006 Canadian GP, which I was at, Varsha's son competed in the Star Mazda Series race. The race was marked by a specatacular crash that sent 4 drivers to hospital.

James Hunt had a bit of thing against Patrese tho, even Murray Walker said so. He blamed him for causing the car that would result in the death of Ronnie Peterson. Seemed to be negative to him after that.

A lot of journals comment on Patrese's involvement in that incident.

Oh yeah of course, was just pointing it out. Kinda weird the BBC let him away with that, especially when they were struggling to maintain their impartiality. (in the Thatcher Years :P)
