I just miss webber D: I just watched a tribute video for him today :(

Hmmm, didn't know you could make a tribute video consisting mostly of Webber with his head hung in shame.

I guess if finishing above lewis hamilton in the drivers championship 4 times in the last 5 years and if winning monaco twice, which lewis hamilton has failed to do, is a reason to hang your head in shame then sobeit.

Nah it's not like that, Hamilton is my new #1 favorite driver ever and I hope more than anything he wins the 2014 WDC

As of this moment, I consider myself very fortunate—I've led a good and full life cuz now I've seen it all.:clap:

Such fun!

Don't be fooled pls, Geet's got hidden (extremely vain) motives behind this. :)

Thanks for the windup, Geet. :irked::hehe:

Lewis is either 10x more intellectually gifted to have mastered the 2014 environment or Nico was lucky to have access to Lewis' data and he is a genius at copying homework

Nico got his arse handed to him today, without Lewis' info as a reference during the race he settled into his comfort zone - between 0.5 - 3 seconds slower a lap the whole race. If lewis was smart enough to setup not for quali but for the race then Nico aint that smart, however if it is like Nico confirmed, that the cars were almost the same, then Lewis is 10x more gifted as a racer - oversteer, tyre deg, fuel, overtakes, on the fly strategy, cockpit direction of the team - Nico got spanked all around

I have never seen Nico do anything approaching that move Lewis did today round the outside , at speed and in dreadful conditions. In fact I've never seen him beat Lewis in battle on the track. He clearly has one lap pace and has a good record at pole's, though Lewis has been nobbled at three , Monaco, exploding brakes and fire, so it's not as impressive a record of poles as it first seems. But credit where it's duel he has one lap speed. Race wins? It's 8 to 4. That's a massive gap especially when you consider the misfortune Lewis has had compared to Rosberg. Rosberg could still win it, but it won't be because he's been the better driver, and that I think is now clear to all, even Brundle. Or is that a step too far?

Despite the sad way the Japanese Grand Prix ended, I still think, in time to come, that today's encounter between Lewis and Nico will be fondly remembered as another great moment in the fascinating rivalry between the two of them this season. Great racing.

Cookin, my greatest wish for the culmination of this season is that after the WCC is clinched, Mercedes AMG agrees to a full lockout for both sides of the garage—meaning, neither driver has access to data and setup info from the other. Let them battle it out for glory completely on their own merit. If we are all honest with ourselves, we know who will win that battle.

Such fun!

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Sochi should be the last race Mercedes works as a 'team'. The last 3 races should have 2 separate teams within 1 operation looking out only for themselves.

It also means if Lewis tries exploring limits again and bins the car during practice, he won't get help from the other side of the garage in rebuilding.

Mercedes should make this a public announcement. It's a serious win for a brand which claims to favour racing and will really set them apart from the lame 1 man show Ferrari/RB years.

I was almost about to agree with you until this complete bullpoo flowed forth. Some people just can't help it

Geet...he might have a point since Hamilton was just sitting behind Rosberg keeping the gap at 1.5-2s....until the overtake.

From there, it was indeed 0.5-3s quicker until the end.

Suffice to say, Hamilton had the pace all along, but chose to use it when he needed to.

I'd disagree and say rosberg maintained the gap until he had his oversteer issues, and hamilton didn't make any headway into rosberg past 0.9 sec until DRS opened. Ya ya, I know how the aero gets $#@!*& being close behind somebody. Lewis was fighting tooth and nail to get those precious tenths necessary for his DRS to work. Once he got past, rosberg's lack of pace was just exacerbated by hamilton being in clean air and no spray along with the likelihood that he quit pushing as hard since he knew there wasn't anybody else in striking distance. But anyway, until rosberg started suffering from oversteer, hamilton couldn't break +1.2 sec. And I'm even going to go as far as to say that if it were a dry race rosberg would have won out right, fair and square. With the offs that hamilton had this weekend and the relatively clean weekend rosberg had, he'd have just kept his head down and handled business. He didn't make any of the mistakes under pressure yesterday like he has in the past this year

.......along with the likelihood that he quit pushing as hard since he knew there wasn't anybody else in striking distance.....

And thats the difference between Nico and Our Lewis©. Lewis would of done all he could to keep up / or take the place back. Especially in those conditions where lead driver could easily of gone into a corner too deep, and given the other a chance to take advantage....

eh, you can have " Our Lewis©" cuz 18 points is better than 0. Not reading any complaints about that old gravel trap at turn 1 being paved.
