Been there many times, occasionally without charges.

Once a week until end of October. Not too bad.
Grand Jury is quite different from Trial Jury.

What's the difference?

I think that may be different depending upon the jurisdiction.
In Toronto, you have to show up every day for two weeks, yet,
in York Region, it's once a week, too.

Trial Jury decides whether a person is guilty beyond reasonable doubt - the kind of jury you know from movies, a quite public affair with 12 jurors.
Grand Jury decides after listening just to the DA's case (no defense) whether or not there's reasonable cause to indict. A very secret affair with 23 jurors (a simple majority of 12 is enough) - it's actually a felony to divulge matters of the Grand Jury.

A friend of mine here in PA had to go every two weeks for ten months. Not pleasant IMO.

What's it like DD? I've always really wanted to go on a jury but I've never been chosen to, and I know people who have been more than once.

Don't you have to live in the area for a certain amount of time

I didn't want to do it when i was selected.

Today i got a new sofa delivered, so comfy compared to the wee leather thing i had before.

It's actually quite interesting and you learn a lot.

I think I'd find it intriguing. And I love people watching.
