Or maybe with less Italians there you hear the Brits now. They (the Brits) are doing it for f1 ATM.

Ah good, so they'll be able to boo Rosberg on the podium tomorrow. :hehe:

Hopefully there is more drama during tmw's race. Our daughter's friend works for the Cdn F1 carrier and viewing numbers were not very good but have improved slightly since the Rosberg/Hamilton antics have picked up. We want to keep watching the races with our morning coffee some step up boys and ramming speed. :hehe: Just to clarify I couldn't care less which of the 2 actually win the race/title etc just don't want to see the races get bumped back to the middle of the night or worse dropped from tv and forced to rely on spotty internet feeds.

Disqualification from qualifying for Alonso and watching him work his way back through the field would be real exciting wouldn't it? IMO, if excitemet is what one was looking for, then racing start to finish would be more exciting that a clipped wheel in lap two.

It would for those few regular followers but not likely enough to generate as significant uptick in viewership that is needed to keep F1 in a decent time slot. The H/R drama is actually getting a few headlines and mentions in mainstream media. F1 viewership in Canada and the US according to viewership stats is very low. Here they split the screen during commercials about 75% commercial and 25% race feed. There is a group of us who get together to watch the races we move the big screen to the bsmt to keep the noise down not to wake the neighbours. My bil is a huge Hamilton fan and we thought he would throw his breakfast plate through the tv during the "hit" on Hamilton by Rosberg.
I just checked some of the US viewership numbers and there has been an uptick as well with the H/R drama. One thing we all agree on is to keep Maldonado out of the way of the front runners - I want our tv to survive the season.

Indeed I was wrong about Ferrari, they were showboating massively on FP2. I was completely confused watching FP2 but at the time FP2 that was the general outlook, as soon as we got to FP3 the order of the top 4 teams was pretty clear.

Can't believe how down the crowd numbers were today.
Fingers crossed for a full horse tomorrow.

You missed an opportunity, I've edited your post in my quote to reflect the chance you missed :P

The British always do it for F1, even the races in Asia there are a ton of British fans there. I've just been trying to find some statistics that I found last year but can't find them, it was a rundown of what nationalities were at what races.

It was frustrating to see Kimi struggling again. I was hoping after Spa he might be turning it around, but he looked very uncomfortable, especially in the chicanes.

It seems he's ok up to a point but when he has to push it in quali, he can't get that extra bit from the car because it gets away from him.

Ferrari could have had the Hulk, or Bottas, or even Kobayashi whom I think would be doing a good job as a number two at the scuderia. I believe that hiring Kimi was a huge mistake for them, a very poor ROI. Not only on the salary standpoint, but because it may be compounded further if they're unable to defend third place against Williams because of Kimi's lack of points.

It's crunch time, and Ferrari are showing a more ruthless streak this year. It wouldn't be a total surprise if they dropped him. It's silly season though, everybody's going everywhere.

There is one glaring difference, in Kimi's defence!
The F14-T isn't a car that can compete, this year.
Not even Alonso has gotten on the top step and if
he can't do it, I doubt anyone could.

Whatever happened to the thundering cries of Kimi giving Alonso a run for his money we heard so much about at the beginning of the season?

Even more glaring than the glaring difference in his defence is this:

Alonso:
121

Raikkonen:
39

This must be some sort of new record for a WDC being thrashed by a teammate? :scratchchin: In one word....Kimi's performance this year has been: Embarrassment

Personally I feel let down, since I wanted to watch Alonso stress out for the first time since 2007. Even the current joke on the grid called Massa was more effective than the 'Iceman cometh'.

After Spa I was hoping Kimi could start to build his season. I'll give him to the end of the year, but if no improvement then Ferrari should see what's available.

I think Massa would have got more than 39 points in the Ferrari this season. That said I dont think anyone would beat Alonso in the same car

Alonso is probably one of the best drivers in history. I believe he is top 3 definitely.
