What does Nico have to say

Q: Nico, coming back to you, this duel is often compared to great duels from the past history of our sport. Are you becoming aware that the two of you are making history this year and do you feel the responsibility of that?

NR: Yes, definitely, yes. And in Spa, definitely I was not proud of the way it went because in general I really want to contribute to 'my sport' in inverted commas

NR: It's been very clear from the beginning that we must not have contact between us team-mates.

Q: (Byron Young - Daily Mirror) Nico, could I just ask why you apologised? Was it because your team bosses made you or was it a heartfelt thing?

NR: They can't make me apologise. It definitely was a decision that came from me after hearing people's opinions and after having looked at it myself again. I felt that it was my responsibility.

Q: What changed?

NR: Time. And hearing other people's opinions.

i.e 'I am putting my hands up because I would rather come clean now and admit it was my fault- i.e an avoidable, emotional, butthurt punitive move on Lewis, (normally i would avoid contact but this time I had already decided I was not going to avoid it )- rather than have the public think I am a devious and barefaced liar, (except a certain few who are still equally blaming Lewis) but I will never be able to change these h8terz minds anyways'

Yes, because that's Brundle's sole motivation, to stir up the great unwashed because the beeb fired him.

nope but its probably part of his job to pander to the Sky watchers who are not stuck behind the BBCs firewall :wavey:

And Brundle speaks for Sky who are rivals with the BBC that fired Brundle - so obviously thats a well balanced view :thumbup:

The BBC did NOT fire Brundle, he had offers from both and chose Sky.

Also...

Brundle said: 'In 2012 I will be working with Sky Sports F1 television. The fact that their newly-announced and dedicated F1 channel will have no in-race advertising was a key factor, but most importantly I need to commentate on every race live.
'Recorded and delayed sports television doesn't give me the adrenalin fix I crave.'
Speaking to the Sunday Times, former driver Brundle added: 'There will also be more airtime for the technical features I so enjoy crafting. It's been a privilege to be part of the BBC team, but now I have a new motivation and challenge.'

yeah, if my employer gave me a new job with hours slashed and pay drastically cut, I wouldnt leave saying I had been 'downsided' I would say it was time for me to leave :thumbup:

Just wish h8terz could put up any kind of argument that cannot be dismantled in a sentence - its embarassing

e.g. which quote should we beleive - Brundles clumsy mistake and thats that? or Nico who says he is not proud of his behaviour and confirms that the rule all season has been to avoid contact which they had done previously - so what changed this time? Nico got suddenly clumsy? whwy would he be ashamed of his actions?

The best analysis I have seen was Martin Brundle's - who said it was a clumsy mistake from Rosberg and that was that.

See that's the misconception, that's what the layman thinks about the Tifosi, they believe Ferrari is perfect. We know it may not be the case. You obviously haven't gone around here and seen the comments RC, Myself, Cookin' and even Hammer have made about Lewis. We're his worst critict... but a las what we want it fairness.

err...not to argue semantics, but I think I'm by far his biggest critic among you guys. Unless you lumped LRW in the group too. :hehe:

Yup... I've noticed that each of you, in turn, has """""""""criticized""""""""" Hamilton; BUT, each
and every time you do that, most of you follow up with a rationalization, an explanation, a
justification (i.e., excuses) as to WHY he did what he did/didn't do what he should have done.

The only one here, namely Roth, who is a Hamilton fan and offers constructive criticism is shot
down by Hamilton's other fans. What does that mean? That means that you should all take a
look in the mirror and recognize the fact that you are all Hamilton TIFOSI!!

LRW sis Nicole's biggest fan, Lewis he likes by proxy.

You're right, it's not fair. All your voices against a few of us.

I'm counting you in on the bet fire sure, yes?

Are you sure you don't have any interest in this thread? You spend quite a bit of time with us.

I had to re-read what I wrote to determine if it was somehow ambiguous; but, it's not...
RC can you believe that only ONE forum member has stepped up to take this bet?

Unfortunately, you're discounting those of us who really aren't interested in that bet.
If Alonso/Kimi were in that fight, I'd be there with bells on. :P

So... not being interested in a bet, is translated as...
...blindly worshipping one team and only their drivers and having no interest in who wins the title if they are not competitive...

and condemnation that ...
...you will watch F1 races but will not appreciate good drivers UNLESS they drive for a certain team??...

leading to an accusation that...

...Its plain dumb, just like the notion of flag waving, face painting fans who dont care for evidence and dont watch the race for anything other than a chance to wave flags and worship blindly

You really do have issues with:

a) reading comprehension;
b) paranoia;
c) arrogance;
d) all of the above.

Get a grip!! NOT everyone watches F1 just because Hamilton drives.

Just because I don't have a vested interest in which of these two drivers wins, doesn't mean I can't be interested in the opinions of others.
Unless, of course, you're suggesting that only Hamilton fans need participate in this thread?
