This is out of control! I hadn't realized that Mags had been dropped so far down the order because of the steward's investigation of a racing incident, yet they don't even investigate a guy that admits to purposely having turned in on his teammate?



Mags won at McLaren today, a solid drive for him.

So Ferrari have admitted that they put pit crew in harm's way to re-start the car rather than watch him start from the back of the pack. Apparently there's a lot of resentment in the paddock for the decision to just give Alonso a 5sec stop and go penalty. Considering the punishment Magnussen received what was effectively a racing incident, the stewards should hang their heads in shame.

That picture looks worse than it actually is. Here is the onboard video. You can see that Rosberg was performing a steering correction.

Compare that to Schumacher vs Villeneuve here, which looks much more deliberate:

Rosberg is still at fault and should still be penalised, but it is nowhere near as deliberate as that still picture makes it look.

Deliberately sticking your nose somewhere where you know contact is inevitable is still, well, deliberate.
