Lol now you're just in denial...

Anyway, what anyone (should) would understand is that Nico has basically confessed.....and Lewis has publicized the confession.

geetface9, In ANY situation I would call out the driver as being an idiot, it was awful driving, reckless, dangerous and just beyond rookie. Anyone who knows how to race knows you can't overtake like that with just your front wing ahead.

If Hamilton did it to Rosberg I would call Hamilton an idiot.

Does anyone know if the FIA will step in if it was deliberate?

Coulthard's a turncoat.

He is now the man fighting for team mates racing because Jordon is saying this should never have happened.
Usually Coulthard says that teamorders are ok and are part of F1.

Coulthard doesn't like Lewis as he's a Button lover so he is cheering for Rosberg now....ffs.
Sick of listening to him now. Just a twat.

It's not black and white, I am a Hamilton fan therefore hate Button and vice versa, you are making him look like a twat by spinning things.

He is saying that as racing drivers they are expected to race and that's what they did, but he isn't taking sides; and he even said that it's up to the team to manage and they're not doing a good job...

Having mulled it over for five minutes, I'm wondering if it's just bullpoo from one or both drivers. If rosberg did it on purpose, why would he tell that to hamilton and the team? That would only do him a disservice. And if rosberg didn't do it on purpose (which is most likely the case) then why is hamilton making sh1t up? We already know he's faked dirt in his eye before since he couldn't hang in monaco so I guess it wouldn't be the first time.

In any case it's just psychological games from either driver. Rosberg shaking hamilton up because it's so EASY or hamilton trying to make rosberg look like a villain ONCE AGAIN because he can't cope with such scenarios because it's too painful for him.

He's lost it mate. He's gone on record calling out British fans (his team is basically British with a German name), and Lewis has just said if you don't believe him ask Toto and Paddy. He's SAID it there and you're still questioning? :hehe:

Nico has f**ked himself inside out for 18 points. Let's see if the 18 are worth it....very interesting times at Merc from now onwards.

What's wrong with calling out british fans for booing him? Hamilton's british so ...it would follow that a lot of british fans like the guy and would likely be ones who would boo him. So idk how that makes rosberg a bad guy for calling it like it is.

And unlike a lot of other people, I don't take hamilton's word as fact. If toto and paddy come out and confirm hamilton's statements then I will believe it 100%.

It's stereotyping. Its like saying RC's meals are good because she's a woman (the generic kitchen joke for those who don't get it, not jabbing at you tho RC. I don't know what your meals are like). Because he knows why he is getting booed and it's like well since most of Lewis's fans are British, thats why...

My meals are god-like. I just die from delight so yeah...Maybe a bit of bias but maybe because everyone else I know are bad cooks... :hehe:

As for the rest of the race, here are my few pennies worth.

Ricciardo - Can this guy get any better? Superbly controlled race today and once again deserved his win. Very different win to the other 2 but again he didnt panic when Rosberg chased him at the end and controlled his tyres well.

Bottas - Another good result from him today, and if it wasnt for the Williams poor Qualy performance may have been a bit closer to Ricciardo and Rosberg.

Raikkonen - I have been critical of him this year but today he raced like Alonso usually does, great drive but the car not good enough to hold off Bottas at the end. Nice to see Kimi drive well for once.

Magnussen - For me he crossed the line today when shoving Alonso almost 4 wheels off the track into T5 today. Luckily no harm was done but that wasnt the only one, there were other "borderline" defensive moves too, and in a way was the cause of Vettel and Alonso colliding on the last lap. Vettel appeared to have to avoid Magnussen and Alonso had nowhere to go at La Source.

Alonso - Not his best race, had to be careful vs Magnussen but other than that was lucky to ONLY get a 5 second penalty for the grid chaos (although I admit it wasnt Alonso's fault) and was outraced by Kimi.

Other than that, well done to Kvyat on another points finish and Massa was unlucky with the damage he picked up early on.

One comment on Hamilton - his attitude was wrong all race, he should have had the "nothing to lose" mentality rather than the "lets give up" mentality he had!

Not at all, that was the right attitude... he's thinking about the entire season. There is no point wasting precious engine life when your car has lost 30-50 points of downforce (a lot), if a safety car had came out he would have struggled to overtake even the slowest of cars and what's worse is he would have and was eating through tyres like crazy.

They should have retired him MUCH MUCH sooner, it's better to lose no points or a few points rather than have a retirement in a race where you might be leading later in the season.

Wow, this season is rapidly attaining legendary status. This is sure to be an event which will be discussed for a long time to come.

Firstly, quick mention to Kevin Magnussen, who has been demoted out of the points for pushing Alonso on the grass. Quite sad that it should end that way, as whilst Mags was indeed at fault, he gave a truly great performance otherwise that should have been rewarded with decent points. He needs the confidence boost, especially after that disastrous first corner at Hockenheim. He must be careful not to turn into Perez and get warned for dangerous on-track manoeuvres. I hope today doesn't harm his confidence again.

Secondly, and most obviously, the issues at Mercedes. If the claims by Lewis Hamilton are proven to be true, this is very serious depths Nico is venturing into. I thought initially it was a racing incident, but Mercedes (according to Will Buxton apparently) have confirmed Lewis Hamilton's remarks.

Personally, whilst I will always be a supporter of McLaren, I'm also putting my weight behind Lewis Hamilton for this championship. We've had some memorable on-track moments from the Merc boys, and I'm sure we'll have more, but after ALL that Lewis has been through this year, something in me suggests it is only right that Hamilton comes out victorious. I think we'd see a moment of serious emotions there.
