Yeah watched that and Rosberg got better drive off the corner but where Lewis really blew it was the entry into Stavelot.

I will say being P2 could be a good thing, Lewis will have to tow down the Kemmel straight that could allow him to pass Nico. Don't know what settings they are running in terms of downforce however but I get the feeling that Lewis was running with less wing.

Lotterer proving his worth - a second quicker than his teammate in his first ever quali! :-)

Am suprised at that I expected him to be a bit slower than his team mate time out

Yeah, at first it was looking grim for Lotterer, but he turned it into a fantastic qualifying performance by the end of the first session. Well done to him.

It seems its another one of those rules the FIA like to keep up their sleeve and apply when the fancy takes.

Isn't it generally that anything that shortens the line isn't allowed and anything else is circuit specific and discussed during the drivers briefing?

Wild qualifying today. Nice seeing bianchi in Q2!! Hats off to rosberg for pole position, tho there is an excuse about brake glazing from hamilton, which at this point is to be expected when he can't measure up.

edit: meant to write hamilton in regards to the brake glazing. and I used the wrong 'brake' :hehe:

because :drink:

Enough about the procession up front, the real race is between Red Bull, Williams and Alonso for 3rd place (maybe Kimi will make a cameo in this race as he loves Spa ;)). That I reckon will be more entertaining than the one for the win.

Bianchi once again the star in a reasonably priced (F1) car, and a shock exit for the Hulk in Q1!

Vettel being in third is interesting. One mark of a good driver is usually their ability in the wet, when it's even more about
feel for the car. He seems to shine in these circumstances, certainly helped by RBs aero, even though his poor car
adaptability this year would indicate he should actually be worse. Not sure about Kimi. He loves Hungary too, and after
a poor quali did better in the race but not exceptional. One thing we seem to be seeing this year is drivers not being
particularly special on what are supposedly to be 'their' tracks. Button's the same - he should love this track but
is only tenth.
