Williams tend to start Friday pretty slowly and work up the order on Saturday. Lewis seemed the faster car but actually lost 0.3 to Rosberg in the last sector.

Just noticed somebody called "Hammer278" in the ESPN commentary.

Why.....just why?

I don't see what the end game with Caterham is. How will the new guy help the team. Contructive feedback to the engineers. How does it feel? Erm good, I have no reference to say it is bad.

Maybe Lotto is one of the owners? Or maybe Audi has bought the team? Or maybe someone bought Lotto an F1 experience for his birthday.

This isn't directly aimed at you Jab - but at anybody on the forum that thinks Andre Lotterer is comparable to normal 'pay drivers'. He is no journeyman. He has a vast amount of single seater experience from Formula Nippon, and was champion there just a couple of years ago. His record screams 'all round talent'. I'm honestly surprised he's not found a way into a F1 race seat before now.

In short - there shouldn't be any question over what he can bring to a team - he can bring a lot!

Isn't he a bit old to be getting into F1? And he's not rich is he? Why are teams switching drivers mid season all of a sudden?

Kamai brings 10 Million which includes donations from fans, Ericsson brings 15 Million.

Summarised: Kamui out for Spa.

Lotterer was called up because he has a good relationship with Colin Kolles who he raced for in 2009 LM24. That and he's pretty fast. 2 fastest laps in the past 2 Le Mans and a pole.

Maybe because the team got sold mid-season?

Well yes maybe. But there's the Rossi Chiltern thing as well. That ones not sold. The drivers must not have very good contracts.

Or... maybe that's one of the few changes they can make under the new rules? :hehe:
