So what's an A+ drive to them? Bunch of hard graders with high expectations eh?

Lewis and Nico on the same grade? COME ON! 3 more reliability failures, 11 points difference. No math needed here.

I can easily say neither driver deserves A+ in my book. I can almost guarantee hamilton didn't get an A+ because of his shortcomings in qualifying in austria and britain. His race days may be A+ but his qualifying this year has been less than that. I don't think anybody can argue that regardless of their stance on hamilton. Rosberg also doesn't deserve A+ because he lost to hamilton 4 races in a row and failed to get by vergne and hamilton in hungary.

Lewis and Nico not the same . They've just played safe with the scores. Don't want to upset anyone I guess.

SkyF1.com would go into meltdown if the grades were different between the Merc boys.

I'd agree with that, just look at mercedes twitter because of perceived differences in treatment between the two drivers

Never said Lewis deserves an A+, I agree with the A- assessment. I was just wondering what it would take to get an A+ from these guys, but I guess its safer to not label anyone as 'Perfect' so far. Though Ricciardo has made absolutely no noticeable error so far.

Ricciardo hasn't been flawless, he's come out behind Vettel a couple of times.

Maybe I'm just an easy grader....since I always vowed never to be like the b!tch@sses (hard graders) back during primary/secondary/high school. :hehe:

My apologies. I kinda thought you were saying that in the second line of your post. Even if you were, I wasn't trying to come off as attacking your stance, just politely rebuttling :P:D so apologies if it seemed like I was criticizing. But yeah I agree about the A+ I wonder what their criteria is. In my eyes idk who deserves one if alonso didn't get one...the dude hasn't put a foot wrong all year that I can remember!

No worries whatsoever, easy mistake. I might be a Hamilton fan but I make a constant effort to acknowledge his mess ups. :D

It's actually quite interesting how everyone is either picking rookies (ish) or Lewis, but nobody has picked Nico, a man who was expected to play second fiddle to Lewis and not really push his world champion teammate but is giving him a hard time.

You don't think it's the unreliability more than Nico that's giving Lewis a hard time? Nico is doing fine and were Lewis not to be there would be comfortably leading the WDC, but with one less DNF than his team mate and no issues whatsoever for Q sessions, he's not doing that hot IMO. Giving him a hard time is a relative to the POV one chooses to take. I guess what the poll says is that we as a collective like casting our votes for those earning their wins and demonstratively trouncing their teammates.

He's had 3 less failures during crucial sessions and leads Lewis by 11 points. This is 4.4 points in old money. I don't get what's so hard to understand here, does it need more explanation?

Interesting that nobody has chosen Alonso. If I could have split my vote I would have as both him and Ricciardo have been unbelievably good so far against ex-WDC team mates. But the fact Ricciardo has demolished Vettel just edged it for me. But I am stunned no-one thinks Alonso has been the best!

It is funny actually seeing how many Ferrari fans we have on this board.
