Nico might've done better if merc didn't try to give that order, lewis was spot on with what he did but Nico was expecting him to move over so not attacking. If he's upset with anyone it should be whoever came up with that order and kept him thinking lewis was just going to let him past.

Nico undoubtedly would have done better and probably won if Hamilton had let him through but Hamilton would have also lost 3rd place and Rosberg didn't get close enough to warrant a free pass.

Not sure you get what I mean, if merc hadn't told Nico that Lewis was going to let him past then Nico might've attacked more instead of sitting waiting for Lewis to move over.

Lewis told the pit to tell Nico to speed up and overtake as he wasnt going to slow down

I never heard that message being relayed to Nico though, IMO Nico didn't want to risk both mercs by getting too close and was waiting for Lewis to move over since that was what Nico had been told was going to happen. Nico might or might not have been able to fight his way past but because of mercs instruction he never took the chance.

As I've mentioned in previous posts in the main GP's thread, I kind of feel like this is the first time I don't like the sound that's coming from Merc. To me, there was no reason for Lewis to slow down as much as they seemed to expect him to let Nico past. If they weren't both in the championship race, fine. If one was lapped, fine. But today there was no reason to make that order. And saying Nico was on a different strategy, ok, but then he couldn't make the ground up on his own merits so didn't deserve the place. Also, had there been a safety car, and Nico hadn't needed to pit because the SC was out for a while and so he could save tyres, would he have dropped back behind Lewis? Would they have asked him to? I'm willing to bet the answer to both is no.
The debrief room will be an interesting room to be in. I think the summer break has come at the right time for Merc

You're a mentally well-balanced man so I'm guessing you mean it from a standpoint of them missing out on what could have been a win for the team by either driver, and not because of them favoring rosberg or something. They should be bummed at themselves for dropping the ball with their communication to their drivers for sure!
