Yes the GP2 series is back this year, and for the first time in the UK, exclusively live on ITV4. Both races.

Anyone going to follow it? Anyone...

I am, gonna have to put my money on Grojean tho... mind you new car, new tracks and its not Asia... maybe Senna can sort himself out?

I'd like to see Senna win it this year, would love to see him in F1 next year and with the new aero regulations coming in this would be a perfect time for Senna to get to grips with the new cars.

Yeah if you caught his last GP2 weekend, in the Asia series, he was cost Victory by his mechanics in the pits... annoying!

Biased of course, but would like to see Parente have a good season. :) Really looking forward to it.

Anyone knows if GP2 will be broadcasted in any major international channel?

Im gonna watch it. I watched both races this weekend. Had my eye on Senna and Coway(I guess cos he's a Brit-but he crashed out) That guy with the funny name G***something or other he looks good but I think I'll have to watch a few races to see if a favourite driver starts to grab me. gP2 was where I really got into Lewis, He was awsome there, in a different league. He hasnt been able to show that superiority yet in F1, so much more to learn but Im sure it will come.

GP2 gets no coverage here what so ever, i have to download races if i want to see them

racechick did you see Lewis's race in Turkey when he spun to 18th and came back to claim 2nd, one lap longer would have been 1st. 8)

I watched the feature race at Catalunya, missed the sprint race, though. Puts Senna in quite a nice position, second in the championship. Not sure I feel that he'd be ready to move to Formula 1 next year, though. He has very little racing experience compared to most drivers.

I was at Istanbl park for that! It was amazing. I was in a grandstand by the last two turns and he picked them off one a lap. Yes one more lap and he would have had the win. It was way more exciting than the F1 race, and that was pretty good. (My avatar pic was taken at that race)

I wish I had not missed that GP2 season I'm sure it was great watching Lewis kill the field, what was his podium finish's record? Also didn't he race the year before Nico or was it the same season?

He was on the podium fourteen times, five of those times on the middle step.

Dang I missed a great season  .

Silverstone was the other race i watched him in live (I was very lucky and watched the best two). He won the sat race so in the reverse grid he started 8th. He won that race too and in the process he was overtaking into Beckets- he entered 3rd of three cars and after running 3 abreast for much of beckets/maggots, he came out first, One of the other drivers was piquet-he ended up going off and through an advertising hording trying to defend.

I got some pictures of the GP2 sprint race from Silverstone last year and those cars are seriously loud, almost as loud as the F1 cars. I wonder if the chassis would be legal to use in F1 as well...

No idea (im not very techical  ) But I like it that the cars are all the same- makes it easier to evaluate the drivers.
