I usually make my predictions at the end of May and they're about 75% reliable. But it isn't the end of May yet so...

That made me laugh.

That was great wasn't it? I liked it. I also liked that in this weekends Round 2 of the European Rally Championship which is also round 3 of the Italian Rally Championship that the co-driver of the winning driver who was Paolo Andreucci was a female by the name of Anna Andreussi.

ummm only joking about McLaren winning of course but if they can get the art of cheating right this time they may be able to pull of beating the DIVINE RED MACHINES............. but we all know that wont happen so yeah at the end of 2008 the winner will be one of the Ferrari drivers and the constructors champion will be surprise, surprise, *drums*, now *short pause*......FERRARI. *LOL*

I think that this year is especially difficult to predict a winner. Probably for the Ferrari or McL camp but, BMW will be a fly in the ointment, and I have a suspicion that even Renault may make some forward steps. I dont think that FA or Renault will win, but they could spoil the scores at the front end and BMW definitely will. I think that BMW could well take 2nd in the WCC, especially if Ferrari or McL have a problem period with some DNFs.
This is probably the most competitive season for many years.

if mclaren cant pick up some pace relative to ferrari by spain i cant see it being anyone else but kimi and ferrari

Right now, I think Kimi is the safest bet. But it's a moving goal, so my prediction can change.

I had a word with Murray walker and he said that Kimi would definitely win it if he didn't lose it, but if he did lose it then LH might win but only if Massa doesn't beat him, and he thinks that Kovi will do well if he doesnt make too many mistakes in which case he wont do too well unless the others do even worse, in which case he could win.
As for the WCC he thinks that Ferrari will win unless McL do, in which case Ferrari will come 2nd unless BMW take 2nd place, which they could well do if they dont get overtaken by Renault or Toyota. One thing is for sure though, he says, that no-one will win unless they come first.

I bet that this prediction is spot on - somewhere.

its too early to say who going to win. all you can say now its going to be between the Ferrari's, McLaren's & BMW's

Statistically the winner of the first race wind the title more times than not. It happened in 2007 but that was a freaky coincidental compliance to that stat. These days that stat is a little irrelevant because so many more thing seem to be up in the air. I'll still say Kimi though. It wasa the reason I thought Coulthard was gonna win in 97 even though we all knew it would be a cake walk for JV.

AS murray says, anything can happen in F1, and it usually does. For example:
guys winning races
guys retiring from races
the 6 slowest guys in Q1 not advancing to Q2(this happens with alarming regularity)
countries hosting races
cars getting refuelled at pit stops
cars using both hard and soft tires
Webber saying stuff
Ron "speaking"

You know, strange stuff like that.
