When Max goes (whether it is soon, as it should be, or next year as he has said), this may leave Ferrari with a serious problem, and it may be the reason why Ferrari wont condem MM.
I am sure that there is a lot of manouvering going on behind the scenes with people trying to position themselves to take Max's job if he goes in June. If the new President is not a Ferrari supporter, or in Ferrari's pocket then they will lose a lot of influence and favours. F. must be desperate to get someone in there. J.T.? I am sure that he would want to, and I am also sure that di Montezemolo would want him there, but he is an employee of Ferrari, would the other FIA members go along with that? Would the other teams go along with it.? Other teams / organisations could well see the departure of Max as agood opportunity to change the status quo, and F. wont like that, maybe that is why they will prop up MM for as long as they can.

I think Lewis Hamilton should do it! only joking.

My vote would go to Jackie Stewart or maybe Ron Dennis (as he seems to have more time now that he is downscaling his Mclaren duties)

If they were still alive... either Ayrton Senna or Colin Chapman.

God no, not Ron. That's exactly like putting Todt in charge

Except Ron would play fair. The problem would be with the perception by others.

You can't say that, there's no reason to believe it's true. Ron is just as beholden to McLaren as Todt is to Ferrari, in fact more so, he owns 15% of the company.

I'm surprised you didn't suggest Montoya. :P

Your killing me stop it :D:roll: ! Who's to say JT would not play fair compared to RD? Your a McLaren lamb and I'm a Ferrari lamb but even I dont want JT to be the FIA president. I want every team to be held accountable for their wrong doing's no matter if it's my team or another.

Perception is reality

Hey I have been quoted does that mean I'm famous??? :P

Ron hates unfairness-its why he always has equality in his teams whether one driver is a superstaar, a personal favourite or just a rookie. But i agree because of peoples perceptions he couldnt be the replacement.
Todt is less fussed about fairness and has happily reaped the benefir of a corrupt FIA. So there is even more reason for him NOT to be the replacement.

So your saying Ron would have turned down the favoritism from the FIA that, supposedly, Ferrari has gotten? I think not and you talk about Ron like you know him personaly why is that? Oh I forgot perception is reality :P !

As there is NO reason for RD to be the prez either, too many team tie's.
