I am still severely ticked off that Mclaren didnt pair up Kimi and Lewis, instead of going for the cut price double diffuser guy, they would have been a killer combo, had Ron still been in charge. I cant help thinking we have seen the passing of the Kimster. Having said that if instead of Ferrari he was at Williams perhaps we could have seen the old Kimi expand on what he did at Lotus

SAY IT! I was telling everyone McLaren were about to kill the rest since I thought it was pretty much a done deal.....and then came the terrible news of "not matching pay expectations"....and they went for whatshisface. Probably a key moment which started the internal breakdown, like a cancer which travels through teams breaking them down slowly but surely.

And then. They made him the third highest paid driver on the grid! could have had Kimi!!

and rightfully so, the guy sells a ton of dandruff shampoo!

But back to Kimi... this is why you gotta like the guy.

That was EXACTLY the moment the rot set in. Previous to that Rons McLaren always got the best 2 drivers available in their seats, irrespective of nationality, niceness, politics, internal harmony or strife. That was the first time after decades that the best available guy - Kimi was not taken. That was the first real taste for Mclaren of compromise and mediocrity

And as always Ron finds that he has peed off his former protege so much I doubt Kimi would ever be back

No I meant certain members make up the rules as they go along to suit whatever their decided viewpoint is in that one given moment. Regardless of whether it contradicts anything they have previously said. Even if that was only 3 posts back.
