Button is always on TV adverts in the UK for Santander, I can not remember the last time I saw another F1 driver on a TV advert.

That's because so many people in the UK apparently hate Lewis according to that reference, so maybe it's the "safe" choice for advertisers there. It explains a lot of the commentary I've seen here over the years. It also means that Vettel better have the history books remember him fondly because he sure hasn't been able to parle 4 world championships into global popularity.

Many fingers in many pies.

You have to think his F1 commentary is a hobby

Its interesting you say that because Jenson has always been built up by the media and is loved by little old ladies up and down the country. However I have never ever once seen anywhere near as many Jenson fans as Lewis fans on race weekends at Silverstone, especially amongst kids and guys.
Them old ladies must buy a lot of dandruff shampoo :hehe:

So many people hate Lewis? So many people hate Justin Bieber and One Direction and yet, they are given publicity

Maybe you need to be a bit marmite to be loved/hated instead of a middle of the road everyone thinks you are an OK chap.

It seems a very strange result to me and at odds with all previous ones I've seen.

Not really... It all depends on who is running the survey.
This Repucom seems to be quite reputable!

p.s. maybe that's where their name came from?

The one floating around a few weeks ago was specific to athletes that were marketable today because of their trajectory over the next few years. Lewis wins a championship this year with Mercedes and his stock goes up. The other list took the "youth" market and weighed their demographics heavily as those are the money spenders most influenced by the elite athletes.

Wow, I am shocked Eddie Jordan is second...Seriously, even the great Senna is behind. Whats your secret, EJ?

EJ isn't dead.
