Interesting proposal. It sounds exciting, but I really doubt it is the best way forward.

As some have already said, lining up the cars would make the use of the safety car practically redundant, you may as well just throw the red flag.

Also, the risk of another IMMEDIATE safety car is just too high. It would mean less time racing and more time hanging around, postponing the action to clear up the track.

Bad move IMHO.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I really don't support the standing starts. I love standing starts. I'd be up in arms if they ever switched to rolling starts at the beginning of the race. I just think it's too unfair to make the drivers do more than one standing starts. It definitely has an element of luck. Surely a lot comes down to the ability of the driver to work the clutch and throttle well, but a lot comes down to what moves other drivers make around you and what room you have available to make moves yourself. Just too much being taken away from the work the drivers have already done if there is a standing restart, especially if people have brand new tires vs old tires and things like that

Think of the design implications. Bigger clutch, better cooling, weight bias will be moved to the rear to help with starts. 1st and 2nd gear would have to be made stronger as well. I am sure there are other aspects I have not thought of

Don't worry mate, if it turns out to be ok after the first couple of races, we trust you won't continue to whinge about it the whole season anyway in a bid to sound interesting or relevant, like Luca and co
