Amazes me how Nascar can pay so high, afterall F1 has a global reach whereas Nascar reaches as far as rednecks in the deep south USA can actually travel to by pickup truck in one hour before they pass out from drinking Bud

It's probably because a lot of their sponsors are international giants, aka coke, pepsi, m&m's, etc.

They actually pay less for NASCAR than F1. There are a ton of sponsors, a ton of teams. The money comes from driver sponsorship deals, not salaries so this is a popularity list as much as net worth list.
