The one weakness I've seen from Nico in the past, is when he has a bad Quali he just seems to get lost in the race and can't recover. Whereas Hamilton CAN recover.

Quite true!! He doesn't do well pulling himself out of the midfield if he finds himself mired there

But he also doesn't bleat over the radio about it either. So it's not all bad. Lolz.

 Yeah that's very true as well!! I swear 90% of the radio transmissions we hear from the merc camp are lewis bleating about whatever. It could be a case of the media choosing to broadcast a lot of hamilton's transmissions, although I've never taken rosberg as one who whines over the radio. Of all the transmissions of his I've heard over the years, I haven't noticed a trend of complaints or stress/irritation in his voice. He seems to speak very plainly.

In Nico's defence he fought back very well in China after his terrible start (didnt he drop down to 7th/8th?) to get back up to 2nd. He does seem to be driving a lot better this season in my opinion.

Yeah good point! I really don't recall jack $#@! about china...I think my brain kinda erased it because it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be :hehe:

Don't you remember Rosberg pleading with Ross to move Hamilton out of the way last year?

And do you remember him screaming for Lewis' data during the last race?

I'm pretty certain there's plenty more where they came from. It's just some folk only like to to remember if it's Lewis. Selective memory.

Any driver would be pleading with Ross if their teammate was going so slow that they had to let off on the straights to stay behind. I only seem to remember rosberg asking the team one time for lewis' brake bias somewhere around lap 38ish. I think alcohol was involved though so your word is more reliable than mine, and I mean that!! That's a good point though, I do apologize for seeming to have a selective memory. It's kind of difficult not to when finding rosberg's complaints among hamilton's is akin to finding three or four needles in a haystack.

We find razor blades in Hamilton's apples, so I guess Nico comes out the better off there as well.

Try looking at today's pitstops..
Rosberg is definately ...the team's chosen one... so much for parity....
Still if that's the only way Nico can win....
It really :censored: me off that we cannot see the real dominance that Lewis actually has, over the rest of the field....if LH had...the same quicvk pitstops as NR had.......?

Yeah, glad Webber highlighted it on the podium for all to hear. Let's see if this makes a difference from here on in.

I understand your frustration, but think back to canada when rosberg's first pitstop was like 1.7 seconds faster than hamilton's and then hamilton's 2nd stop was 1.5 seconds faster than rosberg's 2nd pitstop. As a webber fan, I understand your frustration. But the way mercedes gp manages their drivers, I can guarantee you there is no preference. They want a constructor's championship after their last four years of financial dedication to this sport regardless of which driver is in front.

Sounds like LH's positioning in the pits has something to do with it - he's not putting the car perfectly where the crew expect it and thus, he loses a few tenth here and there during the various steps of the pit stop.

Don't those times in Canada ..pretty much even out...though if you look out this year's Merc pitstops...I'm sure ....overall...Nico is well up on times, he gets the quicker stops...
Today Lewis was 1.9 secs down on pitstops...same margin as NicoR won the race by ?
Merc are saying LH over ran his pit marks.....well....? Maybe he did? But usually Lewis is spot on, where he puts his car.....
I would really love to see Lewis' true potential...not some :censored: covoluted, simulation of what somebody thinks Joe Public wants to see/is interested in....
PS
I think Mark Webber is a great  fancied him...well above any other bloke in F1 :cloud9::yes:

Question. Do both drivers share pit stop crew, or do they have their own, like they do engineers?

Steve Matchett and David Hobbs from NBCSN just confirmed the drivers do share the pit stop crew. Steve Matchett (former world championship mechanic for benetton) said he thinks what is catching hamilton out is that he is not positioning the car in the pits as perfectly as rosberg is. He said six inches difference will cause a few tenths delay.
