Stoddy said he would only return if Max resigns, and i thought he was looking ar buying Torro Rosso, although im not sure what Burger is planning on doing.

The burger is planning on getting eaten. ;)

As for Berger, he'll play a crucial part in Toro Rosso's future when Red Bull sell the team. He could either buy the other 50% share - currently owned by Red Bull - and take control, keep hold of his current share and see who turns up or sell some or all of his share.

Sato's nothing like JPM. JPM always let the responsibility to create success fall on others. I say that because he always blamed the other driver in an accident, or criticised the driving of others, and never acknowledged when he made mistakes. He blamed that cameraman that "broke my head" when he was walking without looking. It's always up to others to make him good. He just whines like a baby. In press conference, did you ever see him NOT trash some other driver regarding some incident? That's why he would never have found any success in F1. Probably won't in NASCAR either. There everybody expects the drivers to be likeable.
Sato is focused on driving and is blindingly quick. I need this guy to get a ride, should SA go under. Let's cut the cobweb(ber)s from Red Bull and let a real driver show what the car is capable of for once!

That one made me laugh. Anyway, I was referring only to consistency. I didn't compare his character to that of JPM, just his consistency in a race.

I know but I felt the need to show the background that shows WHY JPM was so poor on the track. IMO Sato did not have the level of inconsistency that JPM had. In the SA, Sato doesn't even get an opportunity to be inconsistent. JPM had approximately the best car, so he looked good at times. Sato never had that, and looked good too at times, but obviously on his own merit.

Fair enough, I guess, but his performances with BAR weren't the most consistent. Some of his driving can be quite erratic. At other times, it can be absolutely magnificent (Canada last year, anyone?).

I wasn't suggesting Sato is not inconsistent at all, just less so than JPM(putting Sato in the 90the percentile lol).

When Sato was in the Honda, or BAR, when it was competitive, he drove the skin off the thing and would show well, contending for the pointy end, but lose it due to theassociated risk of the 11/10s mode. You have to risk that for success. Whenever JPM lost it, it was because he has no clue what he's doing.
Bottom line I always wanted JPM to leave F1. I want Sato to stay. If SA goes under, A midseaon sacking of some foggy old bat is in order.

I liked JPM in F1. But JPM is an arsehole in real life. I remember at the CART race at Laguna Seca in 2000, my cousin and I walked up to him and asked for his signature, he didnt even look at us and just walked away.

I'm going to be in doodoo because JPM was an arsehole to me?? I was only 10 at the time and I really looked up to him, and to just blow me off like that pisses me off even more now because I was so young at the time. I atleast have a legimate reason to not like JPM.

By all means, go for the jugular - I couldn't agree more with ya. I'm just pointing out that racechick has some weird fetish going for the chubby has-been and she tends to defend him in quite a fierce manner, so just FYI in case you feel the long knives coming from behind

Thanks for the heads up, but if she starts throwing those long knives at me then I'll have to give her a piece of my mind!!

Montoya was a fat git and the biggest disappointment I've seen at McLaren in all my years watching Formula One. We were supposed to be a getting a top-class racer, instead we got somebody who couldn't keep the car on track, bottled things when the going was tough, and couldn't test the car. As somebody also said, he seemed to have a bit of an attitude problem as well. I'm glad he got the boot and I'm glad he's not in Formula One. Sato is another waste of space. Maybe not as unpleasant as Montoya, but somebody who, although pretty fast - and who isn't these days given Formula One cars are so much easier to drive over the last dozen years or so - is too erratic.

As for Super Aguri, there are some doubts as to whether they'll even make it to Spain: From autosport.com:

Super Aguri in doubt for Spanish GP

By Alastair Himmer Friday, April 18th 2008, 08:39 GMT

Super Aguri's Takuma Sato in BahrainThe Super Aguri team admit their presence at next week's Spanish Grand Prix is in doubt after the collapse of a planned rescue deal.

Potential buyers Magma Group pulled the plug on their takeover earlier this week and the cash-strapped Japanese team could now miss next week's race.

"It's possible," Super Aguri co-owner Fumio Akita told Reuters on Friday. "We were banking on Magma's buyout but they turned it down. It feels like being jilted by a lover.

"Even if we have the money to go to Spain we might not be able to carry on after that. It's impossible to predict what will happen but it could now depend on Honda."

The survival of the team now looks likely to rest on the goodwill of backers Honda.

Honda may be reluctant to provide more funding, however, having said only recently that they would scale down support for former driver Aguri Suzuki's team after the initial announcement of the Magma deal.

Super Aguri, whose main driver is popular Japanese Takuma Sato, have effectively operated as Honda's B-team in their two years in Formula One and the two teams have adjoining garages this season.

But Super Aguri, who barely tested pre-season due to financial constraints, have not joined the other teams in testing at the Circuit de Catalunya this week.

Team sources said the cars and transporters were due to leave early next week for the first race of the year in Europe after the opening three long-haul rounds. Free practice starts on Friday.

"I don't think there will be a decision until after the weekend," Akita said. "It is likely to be Monday or Tuesday until we hear. It will be very, very tight."

Sources at the team's Leafield factory in Britain said they were acting as if it were business as normal until told otherwise.

"We are still preparing the cars to go to Barcelona and are still planning to be there," said one source, who declined to be identified.

The tail-enders, who have the smallest budget in Formula One but have a strong fan base in Japan, finished ninth of the 11 teams in the 2007 season. Sato and Britain's Anthony Davidson have yet to score a point this year.
