After the agony of defeat, success will be sweet!
Maya Angelou was an incredibly insightful woman with many gifts.
Gifts which she shared, from a very young age (started writing when
she was 10-years-old-ish). Your post is all the more poignant, RC,
because Maya recently passed (May 28, 2014) and this weekend a
private, memorial tribute is being held for her, with the likes of the
First Lady, Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey, in attendance. Her
list of friends and acquaintances is nothing short of impressive!

Bird Sings, Gather Together in My Name - Women's Studies). Reading
her work and listening to her sent/sends tingles up my spine.
I have been a fan, since then.
