The smaller teams who send their drivers out 1st also get purple sectors as they are the fastest at the time.

Luca is again saying F1 is not exciting and fans don't like it. This is starting to sound like sour grapes because the racing is exciting, much more so than the last few years. Also talk about a possible switch to endurance has been interpreted by some as further veiled threats to leave F1 if things don't suit Ferrari. Though this is likely just speculation and stretching the words of Montezemelo.

"To say that after 2020, Ferrari could quit Formula 1 to concentrate on Le Mans and the Endurance championship takes his words to extremes."

Oh man....I gotta wait 6 more years??? :banghead:

Interesting that on Planet F1 you have 2 related stories about 2 F1 teams

http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9348566/Fernandes-denies-Caterham-exit-rumours
http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9348659/Ferrari-quit-threat-pure-speculation-

Fernandez and ferrari both find that tales of them leaving have been leaked to the press. Ferrari ofcourse have often threatened to leave in the past, however Fernandez only known previous stance on this is when he said at the start of the season he would sell the team if they didnt start getting results as he was sick of being beaten by everyone
So 1 team might be leaving because they are not competitive and the other team might be leaving because fans dont like the new F1 :scratchchin:

If Ferrari quits it's because the engines sound awful, it's not because now even Renault seems to be getting more out of the PU spec.

He said: "Of course we cannot do sports-car racing and Formula One. It's not possible."

Talk about streeeeeImageeeeeetching the truth!!
How do you go from saying that you can't compete in two
different series to threatening to quit the one you're in??

Then again, it's Ferrari and it's di Montezemolo, so anything
goes as far as being negative about either/both, eh?

There comes a point in life where you start owning up to your deficiences and stop shouting at the world around you as a distraction. Ironically it seems the more successful you are as an individual or team the more childish your behaviour. I'm finding that a lot this year, esp with Ferrari and Red Bull.

Other teams just seem to be getting on with it, but those who think winning is a right see it differently.

I wonder if the mechanics and designers feel embarrased when Luca or Marko open their mouths.

Agreed! Compare this season to last season, and choosing the more exciting is a no brainer!

Personally, I don't see the difference between Red Bull dominating and Mercedes dominating.
Sure, I might be singing the same tune that their fans have; so, I guess I'll quietly wait my turn!!

I realize this is the Ferrari thread, but are you serious about this line? No difference at all how the drivers are managed/race each other/excitement at the front?

Really?
