Ok, this may never happen, but I was thinking.

If Super Aguri do go out of buisiness, how long will it be until other non-constructor teams vanish.
STR will be sold in the next few years, how will they survive?

I'd say only Williams would be able to survive, and tht would be on their prestiege allowing for them to retain the sponsorship needed...

Hopefully with the cars having winglets and other aerodynamic junk being removed next year, the cars won't cost as much to develop. Then there's the spending caps hopefully being put into place which should help drive the costs down, and perhaps allow freedom for designers to use their ingenuity to make a fast car without a wind tunnel dictating how many winglets to plaster onto the car.

I think the other privateers are fine in the near future, provided STR gets a good buyer

Absolutely. The Jordan team didn't spend much time using a wind tunnel on their 191 chassis, the car was already completed mid 1990 and it was still leagues ahead of some of the 1991 cars that will have had more time and money spent on them. Looking at the technical regulations coming into place next year including slicks, wider cars, higher rear wings and lower front wings, the cars will probably look like early 90's cars. The only thing missing will be a nice big, juicy 3.5 Litre engine. :)
