^That's cool at least we have some consistency in that judgement.

I've not once seen you defend when Hamilton does it as vehemently as you've defended Vettel when he does the same thing...

First of all, the timing of their respective "outburts" is different.

Secondly, why would Hamilton need me to defend him? He has a
legion of fans here who do that quite "vehemently", without needing
me to join in.

Vettel, on the other hand, isn't quite as lucky, on this forum, that is!!

In case you hadn't noticed, I don't follow the crowd! Sorry!

I'm glad you've so thouroughly explained your position. However, no need to apologize, we all have our quirks. In the big scheme of things (outside of F1) there are those who have rationalized their denial of things like climate change and evolution as well, so perhaps not following the crowd is human characteristic of sorts.

So what you basically said is you're willing to go against your own principals/argument just because a driver does share the same amount of support of another (in this forum).

:scratchchin:

Correct me if I'm wrong....but I just can't see it any other way.

You must be wrong because she has made it clear that she will always defend Ferrari and argue for them, no matter what the issue or story is.

And we know Ferrari have the most fans and support and history and legacy. They even have their own private lounge on here.

Hopefully she would ease up on Lewis if he drove for Ferrari, yes that must be it - its all because he doesnt drive for Ferrari

Okay, I think we've gotten enough of an explanation from Sagi. Move along now.

Let's discuss Vettel's resurgence or something por favor.

Seb is in a very interesting position. With Newey effectively leaving F1 he needs even more to convince that this was not the biggest factor in his success. If we assume RBR will find it harder to produce another 2 sec car he might have to leave to win again. Especially with his stronger teammate.
However to get a top seat, being beaten by Ricc will soon devalue his 4 WDCs. Its possible smart team bosses might conclude that without also hiring Newey with Seb, he is not better than Nico at Merc, or Alonso at McLaren.

This leaves Ferrari, and if he wants the mega pay deal, he would need to be signing that contract right now before someone like Hulk, Bottas, Vergne or Bianchi start looking good for the future.

I think that Vettel, like many suspected is not very good when he doesn't have the class leading "on rails" car like the previous four years. I'd say that Ricciardo has somewhat humbled the 4x WDC! I think his stock has already fallen since the start of the 2014 season; nearly nowhere gave Ricciardo a chance, expecting him to be another Webber but he has stepped up and is beating his world champion team mate fair and square; and best of all, I love the way he does it, stays calm and gets the job done, no ranting and raving over the radio, simply a calm "keep me informed".

Don't worry about me, I went shopping for a new avatar, for the occasion:

Seb calls his car a cumcumber and criticizes his team over strategy

http://www.ansa.it/sito/notizie/sport/f1/2014/06/09/f1-vettel-attacca-la-red-bull_ada29689-47f6-4156-be86-a98f48f7a564.html

I guess he is as mentally weak as Lewis afterall as he didnt comment on why a cucumber won the last race

And now Red Bull respond to Sebs opinion

http://www.planetf1.com/news/3213/9348588/Marko-Tells-Vettel-To-Raise-His-Game-

"'You're a top driver, it's up to you. You have to do it.'

"If he can't sort out the car, the easiest thing is the driver. He has to raise his game."

The Red Bull advisor also admitted that the Bulls considered signing Lewis Hamilton when he went on the market after his six years with McLaren.

In the end, the team felt that Vettel and Hamilton would make for a difficult partnership.

To be fair to Vettel I think papa Marko made those commments a few races ago and his lad has pulled his socks up since.

What I don't like about Vettel's attitude this season is his in-race excuses. Either the car breaks down when he's slow anyway, or he complains about something, anything, that excuses his poor race. Which is fair enough if your car is a cucumber, but not when your teammate is schooling you in the art of actual racing and winning. The poor loser in him is slowly creeping out. He didn't have to hide it early on, the car's failures was his excuse, but as the car improves he's getting found out.

Guys who don't accept anything but winning are usually poor losers.

I prefer poor losers rather than smiling losers who are okay with losing and just drive for the sake of driving, as long as they're getting paid and able to enjoy the jet set lifestyle.

Like Ecclestone famously said, "show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser". Lot of truth in those words.
#404674
But then Bernie forgot to say 'show me a poor loser and ill show you a loser' which could be the case for Seb. A poor loser is acceptable if he gets beaten but knows he should have won, Sebs getting his arse handed to him consistently, his boss confirms that he is not driving like a 4x WDC should be able to

yet he moans and calls his car a cucumber

all in all a rather poor show. If he was not a one trick pony he would be putting all his energies into adapting and maxing his car - he should have won in Canada as soon as there was a snif of a win, but Ricc was all over it like a bad suit. So thats the last excuse gone - 'the car is crap'

Nope, Seb appears to be crappier than his teammate and is not reacting like a chap who knows he is adaptable and can beat his near rookie teammate
