The Cadillac Cyclone XP-74 is another visionary vehicle clearly influenced by aviation.

Get this - the XP-74 featured proximity-sensing radar units that scanned the road and warned the driver of objects in its path. It also included an intercom system that allowed passengers to speak to people outside the car without having to open the roof. For those occasions when you really must speak to pedestrians…

The Firebird XP-21 was the first gas turbine-powered car built and tested in the United States.

The styling was influenced by the Douglas F4D Skyray jet and - back in 1953 - was described as “a jet fighter on four wheels”. There were one or two problems: the exhaust temperature at the tailpipe was 1,000-degrees fahrenheit and it was seriously thirsty.

You needn’t have a GCSE in French to translate the 1942 L’Oeuf Electrique as the ‘Electric Egg’.
See any similarities? :hehe:
